The Ref’s View

Over the past wks we’ve seen very similar tackles made by Stanger, Fotheringham & Donovan with 3 different outcomes (6 incl VAR). We seem unable to bad fouls when it happens. Bad enough the Refs miss it but inexplicable that VAR does with repeated viewings. What’s being coached?

THE REF’S VIEW: Size Does Matter The guys are back to discuss the action over the weekend in the Scottish Premiership and chat about another episode of WillieVision. @SMMediaEnt @des_roache @steveconroy458 youtu.be/1r7Amn1ILuQ

So the next round of Premier League appointments are out. Killie v St. Johnstone ref is Matthew MacDermid. Willie Collum simply is not looking after him. He’s telling every young ref this is the level to aspire to & every football supporter in the country that he runs the game.

10 days after Willie Collum had to call Ayr United to accept accountability for an error. Matthew MacDermid is rewarded with being appointed VAR for Hearts vs Rangers on Wednesday night. We can’t wait to hear the rationale for this.

Be very interested to hear people’s views on this clip that we have been sent from Partick Thistle v Stenhousemuir? We will be discussing this and all things VAR Show tomorrow night. facebook.com/share/r/1HGkkkT…

Both yellow cards correct for Cole Palmer there, completely lost his head.

All the very best to Celtic & Hearts tonight in European action 🤞

THE REF’S VIEW: Oops, He Did It Again The guys discuss the controversial penalty awarded at Somerset on Friday night and recap the action from the Scottish Premiership over the weekend. @SMMediaEnt @des_roache @steveconroy458 youtu.be/CI4YO6iBD1Y

Horrific decision to award a penalty there, Smith already on a yellow for diving. Matthew MacDermid has been absolutely conned there.

All the very best of luck to this special group of athletes 🤞

THE REF’S VIEW: The Global Tablet of Total Nonsense The guys are back with domestic football returning after a long international break, they discuss the six matches in the Premiership with some big calls. @SMMediaEnt @des_roache @steveconroy458 youtu.be/jVs36nHG9rQ

Very harsh for Ryan Gravenberch, can argue neither of the challenges are yellows.

Can’t agree with Neil McCann “having a real problem with it” for the Kelsy goal yesterday. There was no definite coverage to allow for a clear & obvious error of handball or for VAR to get involved.

All the very best of luck to our team tonight 🤞

Poor from Jack Hendry here, referee unbelievably only gives a yellow. Clear free kick and red card for DOGSO. Lovely hit, Scotland up against it.

Good luck to Scotland v Switzerland tonight. Just saying, what does Bain need to do to get a start?

Why has Robbie Ure got his full name on his shirt? Never seen that before.

All the very best to Scotland today. Really hopeful for the new regime 🤞

THE REF’S VIEW: Cannae Suto The guys are here with their final episode before the International Break to chat about the Celtic vs Rangers match plus controversial incidents at Kilmarnock and St Mirren. @SMMediaEnt @des_roache @steveconroy458 youtu.be/wystcvOS6xQ

For me (Des) Fernandez was extremely lucky to stay on the field of play. His challenge on Nygren was a cautionable offence & therefore a 2nd Yellow and a Red.
