Good morning. Here’s Jesse Welles & Daniel Donato with an absolutely fucking gorgeous cover of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right”. Highly suggest.🔥
“It was all about Iran!” is a pretty convenient excuse because it allows for very little political introspection.
There’s an ad I see first EVERY TIME I’ve opened this app for the last two weeks. I’ve clicked “not interested” multiple times, finally blocked the account — still no good. Are marketers cool with X charging for countless wasted impressions that actually do reputational damage?
Why would you set yourself up for failure like this? Nobody can come close to comparing to Tom Cruise’s charisma for this speech, especially delivering it to a disinterested (or annoyed) crowd at a party.

look what you've done. you've hurt john goodman's feelings. is that what you want to do with your one precious life? hurt john goodman's feelings?
John Goodman opened up about how the negative reviews for Digger HURT him, saying critics practically KILLED the movie before it even opened, but he still hopes it finds an audience over time like The Big Lebowski and Speed Racer 👀
“Yeah, it hurt. They kind of killed us before we opened. ‘This will only make $5,’ and it’s a good reason for people to avoid it. I’m proud of it, and I had a ball doing it.”
The suspense of anxiously scanning the shadows for the killer to strike is entirely lost on an audience who are distracted by their phones and only look up for actual action.
Yikes if true

Patrick Stewart was amazing, a bygone sort of actor with working-class ethics and classical aesthetics. One of the most generally beloved men in Hollywood. Could play a nasty villain! Great actor, he will be missed. thebulwark.com/p/patrick-ste…

Respect to @DavidPSamson but he would be wrong; listening to baseball on the radio outside of being there is the only way to consume baseball. The sounds, the storytelling, the built up tension, the excitement, the disappointment; it's all there. It's baseball at its finest.
Replying to @DavidPSamson
@DavidPSamson says MLB no longer needs radio: "We don't need baseball on radio anymore." The former Marlins president predicts on Nothing Personal that "radio will go the way of Kodak and Blockbuster." @JohnMamola has more. #MLB

This is an incredibly deft response at every step. It’s prepared — nobody pulls that “his own friends, his own staff, his own party” parallel structure off the cuff — but it’s delivered convincingly. I don’t think he was this skilled coming into the race.
Wow. In unreleased Diary of a CEO interview, @JamesTalarico says “Ken Paxton is a child of god.”
