It's kind of strange that SBTC is the only organization that has asked for a @WhiteHouse OIRA E.O. 12866 Meeting on @FMCSA's Transparency in Property Broker Transactions rulemaking. You can search under the Rulemaking RIN 2126-AC63 for yourself here... reginfo.gov/public/do/eom128…

@grok I believe it is this...
Section 202 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) requires health insurance brokers and consultants to disclose all direct and indirect compensation of $1,000 or more in writing to plan sponsors and fiduciaries before a contract is signed or renewed.

Ok, folks... time to open fire on #FreightX over #FreightBrokerTransparency. The SNPRM is coming... Here is the best argument people should put in their comments. And they should cite Craig Fuller's post about how brokers are "principal(s)" with "price risk!" That says it all.

Administrator Barrs,
The BOC-3 Blanket Company has today refiled the BOC-3 to mitigate the apparent mass BOC-3 MOTUS cancelation error.
Please direct Mr. Riddle to turn this carrier back on as active immediately so they can make a living and not be rejected by shippers and brokers as being falsely classified by FMCSA as inactive.
This needs to be corrected for all carriers adversely affected by this MOTUS error forthwith.
Regards,
/s/ JAMES LAMB, Executive Director

FMCSA has you listed as an active carrier in their MOTUS data as of today despite the 9/28/2026 OOS reference on company snapshot under USDOT Number 3928782. Your authority is coming up active. Email kenneth.riddle@dot.gov and cc: JimLamb@usa.com. Tell him I advised you to seek help from him directly on this to get the USDOT Number reactivated.
Small Business in Transportation Coalition retweeted
Yes, he does have the authority to reactivate you on SAFER Company Snapshot.
Small Business in Transportation Coalition retweeted
Thank you, do you know if he can help with getting Motus situated or with reactivating my DOT /MC on safer

We are exploring with @FMCSA possible causes of sudden inactive statuses involving alleged name change records within MOTUS shown only on the back end that do not reconcile with names listed on original certificates of authority and were not requested by the carrier. Either safety auditors or law enforcement have access to changing the carrier name or the MOTUS system is messing with names by changing abbrevations like Co to company on its own, triggering a false name change that then wipes out insurance and BOC-3 filings. We have brought this to the attention of Ken Riddle and Administrator @BarrsDerek in the hopes of working with the agency to identify the cause of this problem and get either the programming or improper access to changing the legal name field rectified.
Please report any instances of authority or USDOT numbers suddenly going inactive to the SBTC via this Twitter account or @theSBTC.

I'll bet you a nickel @FMCSA is going to prohibit contractual waivers of 49 CFR 371.3 during this second round of broker rate transparency rulemaking. Just don't tell anyone... 😉
