Does it make you feel super? Great. It's a superfood...for YOU. But for someone else, it may make them feel like shit on a stick so when you're out there learning from people like myself, remember my approach of paleYOU: what works for me may not work for you and what works today may not work in 6 months. No two clients of mine, whether I'm the one actually cooking or am consulting with their wellness team, have the same diet/protocol and none of them run the same play forever. We are constantly monitoring/testing/recalibrating and clients are required to have panels completed in order to work with me/my team. Mind you, my clients are professional athletes, actors, and entertainers so the level of depth is definitely intense but you don't have to get as in-depth in order to start finding your blueprint. Do your own research. Get basic panels at the very least if possible from your PCP or Functional Medicine Doctor. Test how foods/ingredients make you feel, and that includes nuances like not really feeling much when you're eating it regularly but maybe noticing a difference when you stop. And repeat this as much as you want until you find a general rotation that works for you. Yes, it takes time, patience, and trial and error but you can't bitch about wanting to feel better and expect it to happen overnight and without effort. If you need additional support, consider hiring a dietician or nutritionist.
