US voters just rejected data centres everywhere they got the chance.
That investment has to land somewhere.
Clean hydro. Open land. Cold winters.
That's Canada 🇨🇦
This is a massive opportunity for us. Generational.

it’s depressing how much anti-ai sentiment is spreading.
we’re talking about a technology that could fundamentally transform medicine, science, education, and almost every aspect of human life. and somehow the conversation keeps getting dragged back to the most ridiculous shit imaginable.
what a waste of an extraordinary moment in history.

The deepest irony is that people actually did ask for this. ChatGPT alone has over 900 million weekly active users. That is nearly a billion people actively asking for data centers.
The lead story in the new issue of Popular Mechanics is “How to Fight a Data Center.”
How sad and bizarre. Another once-great technology magazine turned against technology by leftists.

we’re on the verge of one of the biggest technological breakthroughs in human history, and somehow the political conversation is about how to slow it down.
it’s genuinely infuriating.
america should be building more compute, more energy, and more infrastructure. not finding a thousand new reasons to do absolutely nothing.

It is alarming to see how much anti-AI sentiment is gaining traction, and deeply regrettable, too.
With this technology, we have the potential to change everything for the better, forever. Yet, in the comments sections here, I find myself debating the most trivial matters, as if the majority still fails to grasp the immense power and possibilities that AI brings.

This is exactly what everyone getting older without kids says and it is truly sad to hear because I know in my soul it is just not true.
I lived many years of my life without having a child and now 6 years of my life with a child.
I can definitively say that my life is full of exponentially more joy, purpose and fun now with Quin in our life.
It is nearly impossible to try and explain the feeling you get when you look into your child's face as they laugh at a joke or say they love you and give you a big hug after coming home from work.
This is something people like Seth will never get to experience and I honestly feel bad for him.
One additional note, I have been fortunate enough to make enough money to afford all the toys. We have very nice cars, a beautiful house, the watches and all the other "things".
All of those material things are really cool and exciting for a small period of time and then quickly become just another thing.
This does not happen with children and I would never in a million years trade having a kid for being able to have another exotic car or a bigger house, which is the argument I see a lot of older people without kids make.
Seth Rogen says he and his wife are now more grateful than ever that they decided not to have children he’s not afraid to explain why.
He admits they used to question whether they’d made the right decision, but now their conversations have shifted to, “Honestly, thank God we don’t have children.”
His reasoning? They’re in the prime of their lives, understand themselves better than ever, and have the freedom to pursue their careers, enjoy life, and build the kind of relationship they’ve always wanted.
But Seth took it a step further, saying he sees people with children struggling to find the same time for work and personal enjoyment that he and his wife have.
“I seem to get a lot more active enjoyment out of not having kids than anyone I know seems to get out of having kids.”
That statement will probably divide people. Some see raising children as life’s greatest joy, while others believe a fulfilling life doesn’t have to include parenthood.
Do you think Seth has a point, or is there a kind of happiness you can only understand after having children?
I hope that my shopify apps will replace my salary within the next two years, not sure if im optimistic or pessimistic to be honest 😬

Germany introduces new sugar and AI taxes within a few months, but when entrepreneurs ask for changes to simplify employee stock options, notary processes, or EU Inc., it takes thousands of people more than 10 years of lobbying to make simple changes.
I’m so fucking sick of our incompetent politicians. It doesn’t matter which party you vote for; it truly feels like we’re governed by a bunch of clueless boomers, too stupid to work together to fix education, healthcare, welfare, mass immigration or anything else that requires more than two brain cells.
I’m ready to either leave permanently or hit the reset button. Afuera!

The EU will constantly warn everyone about threats to democracy then carry out a coup on a random Friday.
It's time Europe confronts the tyrants.
Sounds bad when you say it like that
So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.
Here we go again
🚨 CRITICAL: GitLab flaw (CVSS 10.0) affects 12 years of releases.
CVE-2026-110264 could allow unauthenticated remote code execution on self-managed servers.
