Lutyens is in his sixth season as head coach of the Bridgeport boys and girls programs and his 16th year overall on the Bridgeport coaching staff. He served as an assistant from 2011 until he took over the program in 2021. In 2025, the Bridgeport girls won a regional championship, and Aria Selario earned a top-10 finish at the state meet.
