Currently, around a dozen Pro-Palestinian protesters have shut down the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade route. As Protesters and activists, demanding "Liberation for Palestine and Climate," blocked the Sinclair Oil Corporation Dinosaur balloon as they glued their hands on Sixth Avenue in Manhattan, New York City. Today I introduced legislation to create a first-in-the-nation program to fund local news.
Strong journalism is indispensable for an accountable government and healthy democracy, but local news is being shuttered by layoffs.
