Glendalough Double Barrel while trying to remember the one song I know on piano! #music #piano #amnesia #whiskey #glendalough #irish #doublebarrel #irishwhiskey #whiskyandtunes #hallelujah #leonardcohen #tinkletheivories

Finally done for the day and getting ready for tomorrow night’s blind tasting with a bit of Professor Longhair and a dram of @johnniefoxes single malt. Cracking album. Cracking dram. #whisky #johnniefoxes #whiskyey #irish #professorlonghair #music #vinyl #turntable

Getting ready for our 4th blind tasting! 9 whiskies followed for 10 guests. Ambitious to say the least but prep is going well

I Battled through wind, rain and mud and made it over the finish line in 5 hours 15 minutes at @Thedramathon today.

Last dram in the house before I depart for @Thedramathon tomorrow! Wish me luck - 26 miles is a long way! I’m running for Cancer Research. There’s a link to my JustGiving page if anyone wants to donate. Every donation is greatly appreciated. justgiving.com/Scott-McWhinn… #dramathon

Post long run recovery. @redbreastirishwhiskey should take the pain of 33km away, right? #running #dramathon #marathon #whiskey #irishwhiskey #redbreast12 #recovery #recoverydram

An Old Fashioned with a split scotch/cognac base topped with my favourite popcorn syrup 😍 - 45ml Glendalough Triple Barrell - 30ml Courvoisier VS - 1 bar spoon heavy syrup - dash popcorn syrup - 2 dashes angostura bitters #cocktail #oldfashioned #whisky #cognac #courvoisier

A drop of @redbreastirishwhiskey 12 to top off dinner! A damned nice dram that’s hard to beat. #whiskey #irish #redbreast #whiskyblog #irishwhiskey #singlepotstill #potstill

A Caol Ila Moch popcorn old fashioned to top off an exceptionally busy day. Really hitting the spot right now! -60ml Caol Ila Moch -1 bar spoon Monin Popcorn Syrup -1 dash Fee Brothers Orange Bitters -2 dashes Angostura Bitters -Swath of orange -served over a sphere of ice

I was much more restrained at The Whisky Social this year with the number of bottles I brought home. #whisky social #whisky #scotch #Irish #whiskey #oldpulteney #silkie #dunviles #echlinvilledistillery #whiskyporn #restrained #whiskytasting #scotchgram #whiskygram #whiskynerd

This bottle is getting annoyingly low but if you can’t treat yourself after a 30km run, there’s something wrong. Today was my last long run before the @thedramathon in 4 weeks time! #caolila #moch #caolilamoch #treat #dramathon #running #marathon #diageo #scotch #islay #peat

Thanks to M’colleague @thevinyldram for brining a cracking @talisker round this evening! #talisker #whisky #scotch #isleofskye #skye #gameofthrones #GoT #specialedition #whiskywithfriends #dram

NEW POST: The Dramathon - wish me luck folks. Only four weeks until I will be leaving for a Marathon in Scotland on 19th October thecask.blog/blog/2019/9/10/…

Easy sipper to end the evening

I recently inherited this rather sickly little bonsai tree which had dried out a bit. I’ve looked into it and it seems to still be alive so resuscitation begins! Bonne Chance little tree! #bonsai #bonsaitree #whisky #caolila #scotch #islay #peat #savethetrees
