📃The third part of the outreach was the handover of title deeds to beneficiaries through the Title Deeds Fridays campaign. This nationwide campaign is an initiative of the Department of Human Settlements to eradicate the backlog of title deeds and accelerate homeownership transfers to verified beneficiaries of government-subsidised houses. A total of one hundred and thirty-one (131) title deeds were handed over to happy beneficiaries at the Siyathemba Community Hall. Concluding the successful outreach, MEC Motlhaping said "Today was a joyous milestone as we handed over the newly completed houses to local beneficiaries, yet we remain keenly focused on the work ahead. We continue to engage and push our contractors to aggressively accelerate the pace of work on the remaining phases. Our priority is clear, every single approved beneficiary must receive their keys, and we expect the contractors to deliver on time and to the highest standards." 👏🏽Mayor Roman, expressed appreciation to the MEC for the service delivery outreach.
