I hate to be the one to tell you this, but America is a commercial empire backed by American military might. American carrier groups keeps a global logistics system humming along.
Why do you think the Iran conflict matters?
Global just in time manufacturing as well as Indian call centres and code factories are all part of the global economic machine that is the heart of the Global American Empire. It is one giant economic zone and the US attempted (and failed) to integrate countries like China and India fully into that machine.
That they are now asserting sovereignty is a problem for the global empire. But that does not change the dynamics that the imperial core is still hungry for bodies, that is, talent and cheap labour. They will import them from India believing that this strengthens the empire that they don't call an empire.

Our speaker strategy completely exposed the biased, selective enforcement of the Canadian border.
We invited four international speakers. Two were publicly announced, two were kept secret.
None of these four could be reasonably deemed inadmissible by the state. They are not criminals, they are not terrorists, they are not spies. All were gainfully employed in their home countries with return travel booked.
The two speakers that were publicly announced, @cfdownes_ and @MartinSellner_, were faced with every challenge possible to enter the country.
The two that were kept secret, @lucyjaynewhite1 and @RealJarTaylor, had no issues entering the country.
All were attending the same event. All are controversial in the eyes of the Canadian government.
It's very clear that both the IRCC and the CBSA were weaponized by the government specifically in order to disrupt DOMCON26.
We have demonstrated that the state is perfectly capable of preventing people from coming to Canada, they just use those powers to oppress political dissidents instead of to protect Canadian society.
They are going to blame the gas price increases on America. Bookmark it.

The only thing that I'd add to this is that the Laurentians are effectively a comprador class acting as branch managers for Davos globalism, which itself has more or less declared open war on the US and is therefore doing its best to turn Canada into a forward operating base.
War between Canada and the US would be very retarded. It would cost both countries pointlessly in blood and treasure. Canada would obviously lose but it probably wouldn't be as easy as Americans think. There is nothing to be gained for anyone but globalists.
Fortunately I don't think anyone in the US who matters has any serious designs along these lines. Carney is doing his level best to provoke them, but he's a little dog with a lot of bark and no bite.
There is no reason for Canada and America to go to war with each other. America doesn't want Canada's land. And talented Canadians have always been welcomed in America as tourists, or as businessmen and intellectuals, who built careers in America and then returned to Canada with great wealth, prestige, and honor. America is in the process of restructuring global supply chains. The only faction agitating for war between America and Canada has been the Canadian leadership caste. And they have done this because under Justin Trudeau, the Laurentian Elite flooded Canada with millions of Indians, and wrecked the economy for young people. The Laurentian Elite wants a distraction from decades of economic stagnation, DEI racial discrimination against their own best talent, and managerial bureaucratic decline. Ultimately, they've made a cynical political calculation to provoke a war, or a symbolic conflict, rather than take accountability for their own failures. Trudeau, Mark Carney, and the rest of Canadian leadership spend all their time publicly attacking America... while hiding their own personal fortunes in the country they pretend to hate.
