I don’t see the problem with the Thunder not signing Ochai Agbaji.
They get information Chet Holmgren is going to be out for months, and it makes complete sense to re-evaluate how to use the roster spot.
Maybe they end up signing him later anyway.

- Has shot 55.7% on 2-pointers. 24th of 157 guards that have scored 1,000 points since 2022.
- Half the shots are 2s, so some shot creation.
- Is the 5th oldest player on the Thunder.
- 2022 Final Four Most Outstanding Player.
In Sam Presti we trust, but gotta imagine there will be cycling of these two-way contracts to find players that can hold down the fort.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has shot 18 free throws in the first 4 games of this season.
That is his fewest free throws in a 4 game stretch since... April of 2026. He shot 12 total free throws in the last 4 regular season games in he played in.
Prior to that it was last season at this time.
In Games 3-6 of October 2025, Shai shot 14 free throws in a 4-0 stretch vs ATL, DAL, SAC, and WAS.
Every injury is awful. Full strength basketball is more enjoyable to watch.
I want the Thunder to beat the Nuggets, Spurs, Lakers, etc. with everyone on both teams playing with good health.
Cason Wallace is my favorite Thunder player and him being out, potentially for months, if not the year, is rough to think about.
The injuries across the NBA (especially on the Thunder) is altering the basketball landscape, and while that has always been an issue, it doesn’t make it any easier to digest.

Having flexibility matters in a long season, and there’s a path to keep Oweh on the franchise, while the Thunder have every tool.
