Human sex is a binary biological reality rooted in genetics. Homo sapiens are sexually dimorphic. Every human cell is organized around XX or XY chromosomes. That is the genetic lexicon. There is no third sex class called “trans” encoded anywhere in human DNA. Puberty blockers do not treat a genetic condition. They intervene in a normal, healthy developmental process. Puberty is not a disease. It is a coordinated endocrine cascade involving the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, bone mineralization, brain maturation, and fertility development. There is no long-term, high-quality evidence demonstrating that suppressing puberty in otherwise healthy adolescents improves mental health outcomes. There is documented evidence of risks including impaired bone density, disrupted neurological development, fertility compromise, and unknown long-term effects. Calling access to experimental endocrine intervention “care” does not make it so. The reason governments restrict these drugs to trials is precisely because the evidence base is weak and the risks are not fully understood. Children do not possess a different genome because of feelings. Biology does not change by declaration. Medicine is obligated to do no harm, especially to minors who cannot consent to irreversible consequences. That is not ideology. That is human biology. That is medical ethics.
