European Athletics Championships - over and out ✅ One of the most incredible weeks I’ve had in my career so far, covering a major championships on home soil in the UK 🇬🇧 Nobody quite knew what Birmingham 2026 would bring but the championships was pretty spectacular, and it was a privilege to help tell stories of the athletes ✍️ Spoke to everyone from Keely Hodgkinson and Amy Hunt to Jazmin Sawyers and Nadia Battocletti, to name just a few 🎙️ The video views have gone well into seven-figures at @AthleticsWeekly and it’s been a joy to work with such an amazing team 🙌 On top of that we have been producing content with @NBRunning, so stay tuned for more immersive athlete interviews this week 📹 Also took part in the media race and, two days after cutting both of my knees on a canal bridge (🤦‍♂️) clocked an 800m PB of 2:29.35 🏃

The last time Marty Granoff ran a marathon was back in 1983. This Sunday, he’s lacing up for his sixth marathon — at 90 years old. Granoff told @emmab929 that he’s logged more than 2,500 miles in the last 14 months to prepare for the big day while training with his running coach Sean Fortune. And he won’t be running alone. Three generations of Granoffs will take on the race together, with his son and grandson right alongside him.

Just listened to this over a coffee this morning. A brilliant piece of work from @ChrisChavez and it encapsulates the historical context and atmosphere of the New York City Marathon so well.
The torch of great American marathoning was passed from Frank Shorter to Bill Rodgers in the Bronx during the 1976 New York City Marathon. “50 Years Of 5 Boroughs” | Listen now on The CITIUS MAG Podcast 👇 🎧 podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

This is very very funny 🤣
Obama 🔥: "The president wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison! That part didn't bother him. But he was very upset about the Cheesecake Factory comments. He took great umbrage. The mobilized a whole of government response to that joke! They told the Treasury Secretary to hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory. This really happened."

Every day this club never ceases to amaze me. They’re consistent, that’s one positive.

The London Marathon is considering having male pacemakers in the elite women's race in 2027. The reason? So that they can target Ruth Chepngetich's controversial world record of 2:09:56. The last time London had male pacemakers for women was in 2006. athleticsweekly.com/news/lon…

Probably one of the best decisions John Healy has made so far!
Cash ISA cut SCRAPPED. The limit will stay at £20,000 tax-free for people of all ages. And to make investment more accessible I will work with the sector to form a new "starter ISA" to make investment more accessible. Delighted Chancellor has taken up my idea for this and gone with the carrot rather than the stick! #Budget2026

Watching PMQs, strikes me once again how grateful we should be to David Cameron for closing the Europe question via a referendum once and for all.

The split screen here is quite something.
“Frankly, I don’t think that’s credible” Ex-chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng responds to Liz Truss after the former PM told Sky News that the mini-budget "wasn’t what went wrong" and accepted “not very much” blame for soaring government borrowing costs. Watch the full exchange ⬇️

So happy for Harry Kane. The total striker and he just continues to break records. That is one hell of a list to join: 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Stanley Matthews (1956) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Bobby Charlton (1966) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Kevin Keegan (1978/1979) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Michael Owen (2001) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Harry Kane (2026)
Only the fifth #ThreeLions player in history to win the #BallonDor 🦁 @HKane 👊🤍

Best thing about Kane winning the Ballon d’Or is that he didn’t spend the last 2 months on a huge ego-tripping PR campaign in the media, attempting to discredit other players, like certain other candidates. Just let his season, stats and ability to do the talking. Class. 👏👏
