Driving is freedom, but safety comes first! Teen drivers are at the highest risk of crashes during their first year on the road. This fact is supported by data from the @NHTSAgov.  #TeenDriverSafety #safetyfirst #endDD

School is in session! 🏫 That means more children are outside waiting for the bus during certain hours. Slow down and watch for children playing and gathering near the bus stop. 🚌

ALERT 🚨: We want to remind motorists that if you illegally pass a stopped Miami-Dade County school bus with flashing lights and an extended stop arm, you will receive a citation of $225. Since the start of the 2024/2025 school year, there have been approximately 11,500 school bus violations. This equates to an average of around 1,600 violations per school day. Let’s work together to keep our children safe.

School safety starts at the bus stop. 🚌 🛑 ⌚ Arrive at the bus stop minutes early and stand away from the curb. 🚌 Wait until the bus stops and the driver says it’s okay before stepping onto the bus. 👁️ Be sure the bus driver can always see you, and you can see the bus driver.

When a vehicle is traveling 20 mph, there is only a 10 percent likelihood of a severe injury or fatality to a pedestrian if there is a crash. At 40 mph, there is an 80 percent likelihood. Save lives by sticking to the speed limit.

💔 Each crash death affects more than the victim. It affects their families, friends, communities, coworkers, the first responders on scene, and the doctors and nurses who attend to them. Drive safely. Buckle up, drive sober and without distractions, stick to the speed limit, and stay calm and focused. Your choices can save hundreds of others from heartbreak and trauma.
