The train accident in Spain's Toledo region, which claimed at least 68 lives, also sparked controversy among footballers.
Borja Iglesias and Héctor Bellerín, known for their solidarity with Palestine and their anti-far-right positions, shared phone numbers on their social media accounts to help those affected by the accident. The two footballers shared the contact numbers of Renfe, Iryo and the Castilla-La Mancha Emergency Services on their Instagram stories, offering support to the relatives of the victims and those in need of assistance.
Meanwhile, Spanish footballers such as Marcos Llorente and Dani Carvajal, known for their proximity to the far right, criticised Transport Minister Óscar Puente before the cause of the accident had been established, calling on him to do his job instead of spending time on social media. These reactions also drew criticism, as many people believed the two footballers were more concerned with the minister's political identity than with the accident itself.
Puente, a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE), is known for his strong opposition to the far-right Vox party and its policies. Carvajal's support for Vox is also well known.

I'm sorry, but if your FPL enjoyment depends on how other people play this game, you're putting yourself in a lose-lose situation from the beginning. And every single week.
If you see models and solvers as an unfair advantage, try to treat them as motivation to do better. Understanding how they work, finding their limitations and figuring out how to take advantage of them by playing differently is an additional layer of interest in itself.
Instead of millions of people with different approaches, you're increasingly battling one collective Tom Dollimore, or however you want to call it.
Although dividing players into Grass FC and Analytics FC is incredibly stupid by nature, those concepts no longer really exist in isolation. General data is widely available, models are everywhere and copycats are abundant.
So accept that the better the collective intelligence gets, the more clearly your decisions will be reflected in your rank. Underperform against that benchmark and you'll feel it. Outperform it, and the same applies in your favour.
If the only thing that matters to you is the outcome, and you're not gambling with money in your mini-leagues, you're gambling with your mood instead. You'll constantly compare yourself with millions of other players.
Outcome bias and fake analytical evidence will suck you in. They'll give you the false impression that the data you're using or whatever else has a clear relationship with the points you score, creating an illusion that you understand exactly what works in FPL. And when the points don't come, the gap between what you believe should happen and what actually happens only gets bigger.
The right people will help you enjoy the game more. Positive engagement, content creation, constructive conversations, all of that shit. But remember that people will always find a reason to be unhappy with your team.
Trust me, even if you never share your reasoning or thought process, people will invent fictional scenarios about how you play the game and then criticise you for those fictional scenarios.
Learn to separate constructive criticism from people who simply want to object to everything. They're not the same.
Own your decisions, make your own mistakes and learn from them. You'll be fine.

Hasan Piker: “Trans people are 1% of the population. They shouldn’t be talked about endlessly. Muslims are 1% of the population. They shouldn’t be talked about endlessly. It’s not a Guatemalan migrant that made your housing more expensive. It’s your landlord, it’s hedge funds buying out all of these homes and rising up their prices. A transgender person is not the reason your energy costs are skyrocketing. It’s the wars we’re waging, the data centers sucking up the energy needs. This is just the truth”

Sad to see immigrants to the United States fall victim to the propaganda and literally vote against their own interests.
Communism is zero threat to the United States, it’s a scare tactic republicans use to garner votes. As you have demonstrated, it’s still effective to this day 🤦🏻♂️

What a lion. Dude barely even blinked, looked her dead in her eyes and was calm and composed. Unbelievable some people don’t have better things to do.
🚨🚨UNREAL: Last night at the Woodland High School vs El Camino High School girls’ varsity volleyball game, the principal approached me to warm me that I was not allowed to film any “minors” unless I was related to the player.
Why are they trying to hide the trans-identified boy?
Girls’ sports are for girls only.
Break the spell!!

Yeah, he realized Republicans are easier to manipulate and would allow him to get away with things.
Elon Musk was once a moderate Democrat who supported Barack Obama. He even stood in line for six hours just to shake Obama's hand when he was running for president.
In 2010, President Obama visited SpaceX at Cape Canaveral, where Elon personally showed him around.
But years later, Elon could no longer support the Democrats, because they had become “the party of division and hate.” He eventually shifted his support to the Republicans.
Now, House Democrats are preparing to make Elon Musk a major target of congressional investigations if they regain control of the House in the midterms.
Also in previous years, Tesla stores, vehicles, and Superchargers were targeted by arson, vandalism, and gunfire. Political disagreements are never an excuse for violence. These are crimes, not legitimate forms of protest.
It's remarkable how much the relationship between Elon Musk and the Democratic Party has changed.

It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.

I didn’t retweet this because I assumed it must be fake. Surely not even a grub like Trump could do something so awful? He is not just insane, he is a vile human being. Mocking a poor man’s death like this. Just despicable.
