Cops, judges, and politicians not doing their fuckings jobs to utilize cooperative complexity to fight against criminals because they think their perspective is special is. Think of trying to drop a pen cleanly through the arms of a rotating plastic X, and again through a rotating X thats been turned into a fractal (each arm of the x gets turned into an x, and each of those arms turned into an x, etc.), think of your perspective as being one x and the system being the fractal. The system isnt intended to control everything within the context of it, its supposed to catch shit that it couldn't predict and redirect resources to fighting it when necessary. When you think you matter, when you think youre special, youre forcing people and systems to concede whats supposed to be an ever-present cooperative complex functional systemic self defense so some dude who wasnt even smart enough to understand what he was doing in the first place can try to do it themselves.
