I've been naming servers after Gibson's "Sprawl Trilogy" characters for over three decades so why stop now? This is my local LLM machine with dual GPU. It's in my shop detached from my houseI can start and stop it on demand from Hermes with iDRAC skill I created. #homelab

The fastest way to lose trust in an AI agent: let it change your machine without showing its work.
If an agent edits a config or removes a network rule, ask it to name the exact change first.
Back up the file, approve one action, then verify the result.
Convenience is not worth finding out later what your agent changed.
Don't wait until you're locked out to think about account recovery. Check your recovery email and phone number. If your account provides backup codes, store them securely where you can reach them without signing in. #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth
My "ICE" (Intrusion Countermeasure Electronics) idea based on William Gibson's Sprawl Trilogy and Burning Chrome (though I guess it was really Tom Maddox that coined it) has made it in the SIGKILL game!

WELL DONE AND IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tim's idea is great, and it fills the hole our enemy roster had. The daemons are rogue processes, while ICE is the system defending itself against you, the intruder. Here's how I'm folding it in:
ICE becomes a new enemy class, separate from the daemons, in three tiers. White ICE is barrier walls that seal corridors, jam your weapons and corrupt your HUD. Hunter ICE tracks you and adapts by countering whatever weapon you lean on most. Black ICE is the third tier.
Black ICE is rare and actually scary, not just a bigger health bar. When it shows up, the lights die, the music drops and your AI guide's link gets cut. Normal guns can't kill it. If it touches you, you're flatlined: out for the rest of the round in a match, or the run ends in solo.
ICEbreakers are one-use programs you carry alongside your weapons. Brute-force breakers crack ICE open. Exploit breakers hit weak seams, which ties straight into A5's armored bodies with glowing seams. Cloak breakers hide you, and decoy breakers can be sacrificed to escape. Your AI guide recommends which breaker to load, working only from round numbers, as always.
Real host flavor comes later, with the planned process-enemies feature. ICE can take its look from the names of security software running on your machine. That reads names only and touches nothing.
Sequencing: C28 ping first, then the license, then the A5 monster redo, then ICE in three chunks (I1 white and hunter ICE, I2 ICEbreakers, I3 Black ICE), and then the remaining weapons. Tim goes in the credits as the second community feature after Albert, since he pitched it in a public reply.
Turn on alerts for bank transactions and account sign-ins. If an alert surprises you, check through the official app instead of clicking the message. Early notice can give you a chance to act sooner. #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth

Wow, I'm so surprised by this. /sarcasm

TRUE based on today's Reuters exclusive. Israeli ad tech firm Discover-Tech heavily targeted Starlink users with digital ads in over 100 countries, likely to geolocate or surveil them. The same firm has been linked by Citizen Lab to enabling zero-click spyware delivery via ads in other cases, though no confirmed infections of Starlink devices were reported.
After spending a few days among tech elite at @Cloudflare Connect 2026 in San Francisco, coming home feels like everyone has been abliterated and quantized down to 4 bits.

I'm old enough to remember when permissions issues or other "simple" things could stump you for hours. Now I have an agent that finds all that stuff on it's own in mere seconds. What a time to be in information technology.
Browser extensions can have access to what you read and type. Keep only the ones you need, check their permissions, and remove abandoned extensions. A useful feature can come with more access than you expect. #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth
