On this day four years ago, Activision Blizzard announced the end of the competitive @BlizzHeroes pro circuit.
Orgs, players, fans and even company employees weren't given any indication dozens were about to be unemployed and a scene flattened.
Long live the #HGC.
I couldn't help but crack a smile seeing so many old faces representing the competitive Heroes of the Storm scene. Seeing a bearded @BakeryGG was jarring but I cannot thank him, @Jaeben_, @POILKpls, @JayPL_hots and @Wubbyz enough for all the time they granted me over the years.
A big thanks to @GillyweedTV, @WadePenfold and all the staff behind the scenes as well.
I was figuring out the industry and made plenty of mistakes but they were generous with the media when asked and I'm forever grateful.
The rematch is on.
