I know I'm a weirdo and care too much about economics but the whole "vote for us so we can prevent socialism" followed by "we will give you each $5,000 to vote for us" makes me insanely angry.

Exactly. I made this point from the beginning. If the war in Iran helps to hand our country over to Democrats, then for that reason alone (never mind the dozens of other reasons), it will have been a massive mistake. And that's exactly how it's playing out. As many of us said it would. The worst kind of political catastrophe: one that was entirely foreseeable, and therefore preventable, from the start.
Sorry not sorry, I just don’t agree with risking handing a demonic construct of a political party more power to immediately threaten my way of life on “supposing” Iran finally acquired something its wanted my entire life. Especially since we showed just last summer we could devastate that capability with precision whenever we wanted, and it didn’t require whatever all this mess has become for the American people.
This is similar to “I had to shut down the country over a glorified flu supposing something worst would happen if I didn’t.” Anything that grants Democrats more actual power over something supposedly happening is a miscalculation of where we are culturally. The clear and present danger to the president’s America First voters is the Demoncrat Party. Talarico, Al-Sayed, Sand, etc are real threats over Iran’s perceived one. This whole thing has been a political boondoggle. TARP levels of domestic political radioactive.

So the big argument I'm getting from libertarians is to ignore their political party and the political leaders who have claimed the title and their lack of ever accomplishing anything meaningful legislatively or electorally and instead look only at the philosophical writings.
Which goes to my point--it's a utopian political impulse that is as a general rule pretty useless-to-destructive in the real world.

If you're trying to convince disaffected Trump voters to vote R, there are a bunch of arguments you could make...
But don't use "punish Republicans in the primaries."
It's functionally impossible to unseat an eGOP incumbent.
Trump even pulled an endorsement from a MAGA candidate I polled for AFTER he called for the RINO to be primaried.
