A few thoughts on Flávio Bolsonaro's runaway week, now that he has arrived in Miami. For those following this circus from abroad, some of the context seems to be getting lost. There is more behind his departure than just the fact that he lost the election. 1/...

Reading posts by foreigners about Brazil, I get the impression that you're not aware of the full extent of the accusations against Sen. Flávio Bolsonaro, or of the available evidence of his corruption. So I'd like to kindly invite you to really get to know Flávio. A thread 🧵🇧🇷

"O Messi, além do encantamento, gera o número. Além dele encantar com golaços, decidir jogos importantes, decidir clássicos, fazer coisas maravilhosas, ele fazia 60, 70 gols por temporada. Um negócio surreal. Puxa a corda pra cima. 🎙️ Nelson Coltro #FutebolEmContexto

The decision to extend on Sunday - requested by both sides - was taken by Zanin, and hás no bearing on the result (35000 extra votes, for both candidates, where the margin of victory was well over 4 million)

... a torturer from the dictatorship - because he was a torturer (colonel Ulstra). The big story is how so much of Brazil's right got captured by the Bolsonaro movement- part of the story of Sunday is sections of the right moving away from them

... Lula's Workers Party voted against him. Think of a moderate Republican, the kind the Trump machine steam rolled. Moraes hás set himself up as the defender of liberal democracy - and hás, yes, been heavy handed. But remember what he is dealing with - people whose hero is....

But i would have to ask - who is the dictator? This is not Lula, it is Moraes of the Supreme Court. The right wing press like to present them as one and the same. They are not. The history of Moraes in politics is centre right. He was aprointed by a right wing presidente, and ...

Very busy times. He was asked to surrender his passport - this seems to me excessive until we have more info on the massive money laundering scheme he's accused of being involved in. He said he would stay and fight, but....

You'll find the answers (or an attempt at them) on my thread. The truth will set you free!!
Something about Brazil’s election results just doesn’t add up. How does a candidate win the first round, only to lose the runoff by more than 4 MILLION votes? The Brazilian people deserve answers.
