5 habits to reverse insulin resistance and lose stubborn belly fat
Here are 5 habits that reverse it:
1. Delay your first meal
12 SIGNS YOUR LIVER IS STRUGGLING
1 in 4 people worldwide has a liver problem and doesn't know it.
1. One coffee hits you like ten
11. Swollen feet and ankles
Your liver makes albumin, the main protein in your blood, which holds water inside your blood vessels. A failing liver makes less albumin, water leaks into your tissues, and your feet, ankles and calves swell.
Kidney, heart and vein problems cause this too. Anyone with swollen legs should see a doctor.
12. Tiredness that won't go away
Almost everyone with liver disease ends up exhausted. Your liver runs detox and metabolism, so when it struggles, your whole body does.
Dozens of things cause constant tiredness, so this alone isn't proof. Combined with other signs here, it's a reason to get checked.
One or two of these alone isn't a reason to panic. Several together means see your doctor for liver blood tests and an ultrasound.
Your liver works brilliantly as long as you stop attacking it. Cut back on alcohol, fatty and sugary food and processed products. Don't take painkillers, even paracetamol, or supplements of unknown quality without medical advice. Your liver has to process almost all of them.
10 EARLY SIGNS OF COLON CANCER YOU SHOULD NEVER IGNORE
It's rising fastest in people aged 20 to 50, and it rarely starts with pain.
1. Stool that's always pencil-thin
9. Your bowel habits change
A tumor disrupts the nerves in your gut that control muscle movement, blood flow and how much water ends up in your bowel. The result can swing either way, softer or harder than usual.
10. Diarrhea and constipation taking turns
A blockage causes constipation and irritates the bowel. The bowel fights back by releasing water, which brings on diarrhea. Back and forth.
IBS and inflammatory bowel disease cause this too, but it's a classic sign of a blockage.
Any one of these has plenty of other causes. Several together, or one that won't go away, means you see a doctor and ask about a stool test or screening. Colon cancer caught early is a very different fight from colon cancer caught late.
