There are just way too many lazy AD’s that can’t properly evaluate coaches and make bad hires based on politics and not results .

Aau events are just getting outrageous . Why would colleges pay to come to this . I know many D2,D3, NAIA and Jucos can’t afford this and many d1 will stay home as well . Event directors if college coaches stop coming the teams will eventually follow
AD’s if you have two candidates for a position and put both resumes on the table and if 100 out of 100 people would select one resume over the other, that should tell you something. Or if when you hire someone, every coach in the league gets excited, you made the wrong choice.
Never a good sign if the AD wants the woman’s basketball program to be the marquee program at a school over football and men’s basketball.
It’s really hard for me to comprehend when AD’s confidently make terrible hires or make hires when there are many better candidates that are available. There are really AD’s out there that don’t care about winning!!

It’s really a disgrace that a proven coach who has done things very very few people have done isn’t coaching now. It’s a lot of AD’s out there that really don’t want to win !
If you’re an AD with a bad program wouldn’t it make sense to hire a coach who has experience turning around bad programs ?
Just wondering how hard is it to take a winless program to 20 wins in three seasons? I think I know someone who knows the answer to that .
