It was always said the money worked out better for the vikings if we waited right till the deadline. 👀👀
Maybe it's been the plan all along.
Sources: The #Colts have received plenty of calls on several players, including Jonathan Taylor, Josh Downs, Grover Stewart and others.
But the belief around the league is that, barring an offer that blows them away, Indianapolis plans to wait until after Sunday’s game vs the Cowboys before revisiting the offers on the table and making the trades that make sense on Monday and Tuesday ahead of the deadline.
In other words. Wentz has two weeks to take this job.
#Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell says Kyler Murray is week-to-week with his hamstring strain, so Max Brosmer will be the backup.
Vikings saw Twitter reaction about making no moves and thought "let's put out a report that were still trying"
The #Vikings have been active in terms of making calls around the NFL for trades, but the market is at a “standstill” with Jonathan Taylor’s status still TBD, @alec_lewis mentioned via @AlecLewisShow.
“They’ve had calls on a lot of available players. As of right now, when I’m recording this Tuesday evening, it does feel like the market is kinda at a standstill.”
We all know how this goes.
-Vikings do nothing at the deadline
-vikings finish 10-6 and get the 7th seed to save KOCs job
-vikings lose in first round
-vikings sign Kirk Cousins in the offseason as "missing piece" and help to keep Jefferson.
-it blows up. Miss playoffs
Are all disappointed that the vikings are most likely doing nothing at the deadline? Absolutely.
But to hope Jefferson requests a trade out of here is wild.

Reminder that it’s been nearly SEVEN years since the Vikings won a playoff game and nearly FORTY years since they’ve won multiple playoff games in a single season. This fanbase deserves better.
I'm choosing to naively believe that this is a report leaked by the vikings to get some leverage to lower prices.
"Fine, we will walk away". And then see if the teams come back.
Is it true? Probably not. But I can't believe we would do nothing. With a 6-1 team.
.@DanGrazianoESPN: "Minnesota has looked around at running backs, but it doesn't sound as if the Vikings are in position to take on much salary. If they make an addition to help their run game, it might just as easily be an interior OL or a blocking TE." espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/5036…
Vikings trading for depth iOL or TE is actually soo much worse than making no moves at all.
If you're not going big game hunting then just do nothing and keep the draft capital.
Purgatory.

Brissett taking over Kyler again is peak cinema.
Brissett —> Minnesota?
Flores lots of experience with him. Wonder if he’d vouch….
@PaulHembo
Jacoby going to Baltimore.
The #Cardinals have dropped Jacoby Brissett to QB3 and that opens the door for him to become a potential trade target ahead of next week’s deadline — potentially for a team like the #Ravens.
Arizona is moving forward with Gardner Minshew as QB1 and Carson Beck is the new backup.
I would take Dak on the vikings. But his "here we go" cadence needs to stay in Dallas.
𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦: There have been "murmurs" that this could be Dak Prescott’s last season with the Cowboys, per @CSimmsQB
"There’s been murmurs that Dallas is at the end of their rope with Dak, things better turn around or he ain’t gonna be the QB there."
