I have Usher and Chris Brown tickets for tonight in the Bay (Levi Stadium) but can't make it. Great seats too. Anyone want them?

Under-discussed and under-appreciated effect of AI in customer support - it is likely to lead to more onshoring of CS jobs. When you can automate 90% of support cases, you want the 10% left to be the most delightful customer experiences and you now have budget to hire US reps.

There are a few who have had a more consequential influence in my founder journey as @qasar. One of the first checks in my first company, introduced me to many follow-on investors, gave tough advice when needed and stuck by me when things got tough. He’s as good as it gets as a founder, adviser, friend. Glad he’s sharing his thoughts more openly. 🙏🏾
After 16 years and 10 months -- I'm finally writing my first...X? Also, will start writing more regularly. My first post is, ironically, on why I'm posting. qy.co/new

In the past 2 years I've gone from near 0 running to running 6 marathons (and 4 half marathons) including 5 world majors. Looking to run my 6th world major in London! Anyone have a link-up for a London Marathon charity slot?

Contrarian opinion - in about a year, the hot thing in tech will be centered around owning and managing assets and tremendous complexity to have real lasting moats. Very hard to execute and therefore hard to compete against when done right.

We can see the activity of the goods economy by looking at freight transactions. After all, companies don't move freight unless there is demand on the other end. This is a chart of the US domestic freight market. The goods economy is in real trouble. Domestic freight transactions are down 12% YoY.

I generally tell founders - if you can get @ramtinnaimi on your cap table, you absolutely should! It's hard to explain exactly how he does it, but Ramtin has an ability to truly help change the trajectory of your company in ways that matter. Congrats on the profile!
Ramtin Naimi started a successful hedge fund at 19, went bankrupt at 24, and then built a $1.8 billion venture firm backed by investing icons like Stanley Druckenmiller, @pmarca, and @BillAckman. Michael Ovitz calls Naimi his “non-biological son.” Founders say he’s “the most important person you’ll meet.” Silicon Valley has begun to whisper about him as the man with “the hot hand.” For the first time ever, we’re excited to share the remarkable story of a 34-year-old whose CV reads like no other investor’s in Silicon Valley. @ramtinnaimi does not have a college degree, his Iranian immigrant parents had little money, he founded a failed startup that led to bankruptcy, and the only normal job he’s ever had was working weekends at West Elm, the furniture store. What Naimi does possess, however, is supernatural hustle, pattern recognition, and a chip on his shoulder more valuable than any credential. He made $500,000 as an 18-year-old trading options through the global financial crisis, his first-ever venture investment is now valued at $11 billion, and two years after going bankrupt, a list of finance titans bought 20% of his nascent early-stage venture firm, Abstract, for $10 million. Today, Abstract manages $1.8 billion and has a simple value proposition: It is the best firm in the world at getting founders from seed to Series A. Stories from @gsivulka, @shreyamurthy, and @krea_ai’s Victor Perez all testify to Naimi’s special talent at orchestrating fundraising rounds, luring legendary investors out of their offices to meet his founders at unusual times. Even his peers talk about it in tones of admiration. Andreessen Horowitz GP @illscience said, “Ramtin’s got a knack for being around all the most important deals. Whenever he says something is important, we take it incredibly seriously.” For the full, improbable story of Ramtin Naimi’s journey from insolvency to influence, read @domcooke's profile, linked below. It is complete with detail on how he became best friends with Michael Ovitz and @kevinhartz, how he lives in his dream home that he first saw at 18, but, most of all, how he built what @DavidSacks called, “an elite early-stage firm.”

What @qasar and Peter have built with Applied is truly inspiring. Also, if you're lucky enough to know Qasar, you know that he is one of the best, most humble and most thoughtful founders out there (has helped me on countless occasions). All substance. Congrats friends!

Today, our team got a front-row seat to an inspiring Stories from the Grind fireside chat between our CEO, @TobennaA , and @iamjakestream — founder of @NerdWallet and founding partner at @btv_vc. From early struggles to major wins, Jake shared real stories from the founder’s journey that don’t always make the headlines. This series is all about learning from the grit, hustle, and moments that shape great companies. Huge thanks to Jake for sharing his story with the CloudTrucks team! 🙌🏻

There’s nothing more inspiring than a well told story. @CloudTrucks hosts a quarterly unrecorded session called “Stories from the grind” where our team gets to hear untold stories from some amazing founders. So far we’ve had amazing founders like @parkerconrad, @evancharles @qasar @nlevchin @smakani and others! We have some great speakers over the next few quarters who have built amazing companies. Should we open this up to a few more guests?

When running a marathon, there's this moment where you ask yourself "what the hell am I doing here?", for me, it tends to happen relatively early into the race after the initial excitement of crossing the starting line wears off and I'm a few miles in. Then you dig in, keep going, and before you know it, you're in the zone, enjoying the vibe, and putting one foot in front of the other. This happens multiple times throughout the race. Eerily similar to running a startup. Dig in and don't forget to enjoy the race :).
