Someone start a GoFundMe.
i’ll always viciously hate these contests Wealthy announcer plucks kid out of crowd, offer him life-changing sum of money, give him a contest he has maybe a hope of winning, watch him fail and disappoint, watch the hope drain from his face, the sadness take hold, and then televise it to the onlooking masses as you laugh and chuckle because hahahah so funny ain’t it, good try kid haha go back to drowning in debt lmao!

There’s a grunge-themed wrestler named Steven Flowe whose theme song is ‘Even Flow’ by Pearl Jam… except all the lyrics are just his name. And as commitment to the aesthetic? Double flannel. Living every ’90s kid’s dream 🤘

An overnight millionaire sensation.
Hitting $400k was commendable, now asking for $700k is just being greedy, maybe it's the funding site so they can take a bigger cut?

Is the NHL now the NBA with all these trade requests?

We’re all struggling. I really do feel for him and can hear the desperation in his voice, and I hope he gets a break, but starting a fundraising for someone yelling at the top of their lungs in the middle of a store?

Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

Did not see a potential double sweep of NLCS and World Series for the Brewers. And I stand corrected. They are NOT a team built more for the regular season. Impressive. #mlb

Londoners were asked if they wanted chaos at city hall from a non-collaborating, power-hungry current councilor and, by a pretty strong majority, they answered ‘No thank you.’ #ldnont

Has anyone ever based their vote on seeing a yard sign?

Interesting. Happy Sports Day!
Today is the only day of the year you can watch an MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA and WNBA game at the same time

Sidenote: I wonder how many people will accidentally vote for Bronagh Morgan (who, by the way, is a worthy choice in her own right) instead of Josh Morgan because she appears immediately above him on the ballot? #ldnont

Speaking strictly as a citizen (removing the journalist hat), I predict a Susan Stevenson win. The lesson? Low information voters are ripe for the taking. Get a few good slogans, make some impossible promises, demonize the homeless, and rile up some anger. I know, it’s sad.

Election Day. Will low information voters carry the day? Stay tuned! #ldnont

I remember watching this in a high school computer class. #old
Remember the movie The Net? There's a scene where Sandra Bullock's character orders pizza online. It's interesting to see how the movie envisioned online pizza ordering back then. The idea of ordering pizza over the internet must have seemed like a far-fetched dream at the time.

Too many days between playoff baseball games. 😞 #mlb

Wikipedia, which went online in January, 2001, is now the greatest compendium of human knowledge ever assembled. Yet in the last four years, it has lost 25 per cent of its traffic—more than a billion monthly visitors. Since the site recruits its editors from its audience, this dip also threatens its growth and quality. Many users have been intercepted by A.I. “It’s a cruelly ironic fate,” Julian Lucas writes. Wikipedia was the single most important training corpus in the history of artificial intelligence. Now artificial intelligence is threatening its survival. The replies on this are so depressing. Twitter really has become a cesspool. 🥴
i’ll say it ten times over, until I’m blue in the face, there is ZERO reason you should ever be using that word… literally zero, and I do not care. There’s a massive english language with hundreds of words to use, find a damn different one
