A random thought
How do people handle watching others struggle?

I can't be the only actor who struggles with these auditions.
Few lines, not many seconds, not much context. Just make some choices and go for it!

Well done to all; we have made a difference. Albeit small, small steps are better than no steps.
PA Comedy Club open mics always raise money for a local organisation or charity and this month WE DID A GOOD!

Appreciate everyone who came out last night to the PA Comedy Club.
plenty of laughs, raised money and awareness for charity, I’m pretty pleased with how it went.
Thanks to everyone who made it possible, on and off stage. Great job, team!

Another audition in the books!
Unfortunately while successful for the callback I had to decline due to another commitment.
A rare occurrence, as don't get me wrong; it's been a good period but I really liked this scene and concept.

Meet Stewart another of the many characters I play in Deadset Theatre Company Blackrock.
For the character I spend the most time as he's the one I talk about the least. A father who has a better relationship with his son than daughter, self-absorbed and belittling to his wife..
Career- and goal-oriented, no matter the situation or outcome, it always comes back to how it affects me.
3 shows left to see Stewart and the 4 other roles I play.

Another sell out!
4 shows left but only 3 chances to see DEADSET THEATRES Blackrock.
And I’ll just say….it bloody good! And the reviews agree.

Jokes for a good cause!
Every show raises funds/awareness for a northern suburb charity or organisation.
This month is no The Haven Gawler, a women's support centre.

As an actor, I wanted to get a lot over about Roy in his limited stage time without pulling from other performers or attention seeking.
There is more said about Roy by others than he gets to say himself so I used those hints in their text to make this delightful dingbat.
Meet Roy, another of the many characters I play in Blackroxk at Deadset Theatre Company.
A cast, crew and crowd fav, genuinely just a bit of a nice guy. Only on for a moment but leaves an impression and a world apart from the character called LEN.

Meet LEN, one of the many characters I play in BLACKROCK!
Len is…not a good person and the role I was most concerned about as I myself like many others out there grew up with a Len in my life and yet I still managed to become a Roy (that'll make sense later).
As an actor…
it took me a few rehearsals to become comfortable being uncomfortable doing and saying certain things, it's a scene I thoroughly enjoy.
If any of my friends or colleagues see this show, you'll see me being very Un-Todd-like.

Blackrock opens tonight!
tonight, tomorrow and Friday are sold out. Tickets are available (runs until Sunday with 2 shows Saturday).
I won't ramble; I'm good in this, everyone is good in this, it's a hard go of doing this arts stuff in SA.
