Joyce’s vague post doesn’t reflect the seriousness of the situation. Grealish didn’t answer his phone and didn’t train all week. This isn’t something that should be brushed aside with a slap on the wrist. Ultimately, this is on Moyes. He sets the standards and decides the consequences. Imagine that was Dibling or pick any of them outside his favourites. They’d be out of the squad immediately. Grealish shouldn’t be babied because of his reputation or the money Everton have invested in him. Cancel the loan and send him back to City. No player is bigger than Everton Football Club.
