These photographs include Hildegard von Anim (founder of @HauteCabriere) and Roxy Laker (marketing coordinator), who joined Ashley Bauer (coordinator of Together Franschhoek) and Margot Janse (Isabelo charity) on an arranged visit to one of the soup kitchens over the weekend.

As part of the #community for generations, @HauteCabriere offered to #donate all proceeds from the sale of this wine to our vital initiative. With great success, Haute Cabrière has donated R180 000 to assist the relief work of Together Franschhoek! #donation #foodrelief

A massive dedication to #TogetherFranschhoek’s success must go to this inspiring man, and it’s with great sadness we share that for personal reasons, Jeremy has withdrawn from our initiative. Jeremy, we applaud you, June, Ben & Jamal, and thank you for everything you've done.

Our progress made is heightened by the support of our three partnering NGO's - @lionsclubs Franschhoek Ladies, Isabelo and FRANCO - and the ongoing growth and development of the food gardens at The Barn Foundation...

In the last 4 months of #salockdown, we have seen #TogetherFranschhoek grow in number of generous #volunteers teaming up with our food kitchens, kind #donations from near and far, and an increase in our social media following.

@JeremyAstfalck helped establish our now 14 food kitchens, had his feet on the ground actively involved with operations on a daily basis, working with our chefs & community kitchen leaders, ensuring our great work & progress was communicated & shared on social media, far & wide!

In an effort to curb the spread of the #COVID19 virus, @JeremyAstfalck pioneered, installed and maintained hand-washing stations around the Franschhoek Valley, of which there are now 19! #togetherfranschhoek

When the crisis hit in March, @JeremyAstfalck donated his time every day to make sure that those without income, or children without access to the school feeding schemes due to #COVID19 and the #salockdown regulations, could still access a home-cooked meal on a daily basis.

It’s remarkable when long-standing members of our community put up their hands to help others when crisis hits the valley. One of whom is @JeremyAstfalck who you may know for his beautiful antique shop on Main Rd, The Old Corkscrew, and as a steadfast local for the past 25 years.
