$AERO tokenomics explained in 10 minutes. 🧵 @aeroxyz is the main exchange on Base, and it is in the middle of merging with Velodrome into one protocol called Aero. Traders paid it $133.2M in fees over the last twelve months. Every dollar of the $95.8M it kept went to token holders. It works only if you lock your tokens for up to four years. If you don't, you get nothing and you're diluted about 10% a year.

Tokenize your house? Yes. The LLC part is easy. Finding buyers isn't. The house goes into an LLC. The LLC's shares become tokens. The tokens are usually securities, so buyers need KYC. It trades only where a platform agrees to list it. No buyers, no exit. Entity architecture is module 4 of the free course. Would you buy 1% of a stranger's house? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

Circulating supply jumps the day a cliff ends. Picture 5% of total supply landing on one day. Say the team and investors hold 20% of supply, vesting over 4 years with a 12-month cliff. Before day 366, flat. Day 366, a quarter of their tokens is free to sell. That's the 5%. After that, about 0.4% a month. The free course covers vesting design. Who sells first when the cliff ends: team or investors? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

Berachain makes $169 a day in fees. It raised $142MM from VCs. Last December I wrote: "With $BERA, the only probability I see is a continued decline." It was $0.73 that day. Today? $0.15. And about 13MM $BERA still unlocks every month until February 2028. Here's how it works and what matters for $BERA holders. 👇

You send an ERC-3643 token to a friend. It fails. The token checked a list before it moved. Most people think tokens go to any wallet. ERC-3643 keeps a registry of verified wallets. Your friend isn't on it, so it reverts. The fix: an ID check. The free course covers that check, module 4. Would you hold a token you can't send freely? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights

Locked for 30 days. Locked for 3 years. Same badge. The end date is onchain if you know where to look. Open the pool on an explorer. Sort the LP token's holders by balance. Find the locker's unlock date. No date? Don't buy yet. That's a distribution audit, module 7 of the free course. How long a lock would you want to see? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

You're tokenizing a rental building. ERC-20 goes to any wallet. ERC-3643 goes to approved wallets only. The free course covers this choice in module 4. Which one do you launch on? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

Tokenizing a building doesn't make it liquid. Liquidity comes from buyers not from minting a token. The pitch says tokenization makes property liquid. Sell your slice whenever you want. Now picture the order book. Hundreds of tokens listed to sell. One bid, well under the last trade. A token is worth what the next buyer will pay for it, not the number on the appraisal. And building tokens are usually securities, so only verified buyers get in. Fewer buyers, wider gap. Tokenizing changes how you hold the building. It doesn't bring the buyer. Line up where the buyers come from before you mint a single token. The free course covers this. Link in the comments. Who should bring the buyers: the platform or the owner? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

I grew my own project to $200M from nothing. Then I was left with co-founders not contributing. I was working 16-18 hours per day while doing everything. It's impossible to win in such a case. Choose your co-founding team wisely. Splitting tokens with co-founders? Module 7 of the free course covers allocation buckets. What does cliff mean in tokenomics? Nothing unlocks for 12 months. Then a whole year of tokens can hit the market at once. That's a cliff, and holders can sell all of it in one shot. The better way: – Nothing is earned during the cliff – Vesting starts in month 13 – A 1-year cliff + 36 months of vesting = 48 months total Big release spikes turn into a painful problem for the founders later on. Module 7 of the free course covers vesting cliffs. Cliff or no cliff: which team would you trust more? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

Can I tokenize my house? Yes. The downside? You still need a buyer. So where do buyers come from? I see three places: the issuer, an existing market, or a new venue. Full breakdown in the article 👇 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

I've been in the crypto space since 2017. Every cliff I've watched has been an inflationary spike. Holders know the unlock date. So do traders. What happens: – Anyone can read that date onchain. – Plenty of traders sell or short ahead of it. – Holders see the dip and panic. I've also tracked thousands of wallets. Near every investor will sell, sooner or later. Designing yours? The free course covers vesting cliffs in module 7. What would make you buy a week before a cliff? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

ERC-20 sends to any wallet. ERC-3643 checks it first. That check is why fund tokens use it. Most people think a token standard is a dev detail. It decides who's allowed to hold your token. ERC-3643 looks up the buyer in an ID registry. Not verified? The transfer fails. The free course covers standards. Should a token be able to refuse a buyer? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

Locked liquidity is the badge every buyer checks on trading terminals. What does the lock actually protect? When a team launches, it puts tokens and cash into a pool and gets LP tokens back. Those LP tokens are the receipt, and whoever holds the receipt can pull the liquidity out. A locker holds that receipt until a set date. When the lock expires, the LP tokens go straight back to the wallet that locked them And that wallet can empty the pool the same day. Now watch this: – 30-day lock = "locked" badge – 3-year lock = "locked" badge Key point: the badge never shows you the date, so you have to open the locker and check it yourself. Here's where I land A 30-day lock protects you for 30 days, and that's it. Module 7 of my free course walks through launch liquidity. Check my profile. Should a 30-day lock get the same badge as a 3-year one? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

Who holds the LP tokens? That one wallet decides if the pool stays. "100% locked" doesn't say where they sit. In a locker, they return on a set date. Burned, they're gone. In the team wallet, nothing is locked. Where LP tokens end up is module 7 of the free course. Burned LP tokens or locked ones: which would you rather see? 👉 Follow @TonyDrummond for Daily Web3 Insights.

You split a building into 1,000 tokens. Who buys token number 1,000? The first 100 go to people you know. The last 100 need a stranger. Building tokens are usually securities, so only verified buyers get in. No buyer, no exit. That's a market research job, module 2 of the free course. Aerodrome paid its lockers $580MM in three years. Here's all you need to know about $AERO's tokenomics to understand the full picture. 🧵 On 21 October @aeroxyz merged Aerodrome and Velodrome into one exchange across seven chains. The weekly rebase that shielded lockers from dilution?  Gone.  Here's how the new system works and what matters for $AERO holders. 👇

Michael A. Fési made more progress in a brutal market than most founders I watched in the bull run. No pile of VC money. Just a plan to change how states hand out incentives. – How he'd keep incentive money local and traceable while it stays in the system. – What McKinney, Texas did with a half-cent sales tax. – Why a Starbucks card is part of the design. – Why he's not even on X. If you've ever asked where your tax money went, you'll want this one. The full episode is in the comments. 👉 Follow Michael A. Fési II on LinkedIn, then @TonyDrummond and @Tokenomicsnet.
