Farewell my friend. Thank you for looking after us. 🐝🌹

🏛️ Last week I attended my first @ManCityCouncil Economy scrutiny where I spoke on the City’s Work & Skills strategy. I also said goodbye at my final Health scrutiny where I thanked the committee for the last four and a half years I’ve reported as Executive Member. (1/2)

🏛️ It’s been a busy few weeks back at the Town Hall post the summer recess. With the CQC report, Mental Health transformation work and new Carers strategy all begin received at Scrutiny and Executive in my capacity as Executive Member for Health and Care. (1/2)

Tonight I became the Deputy Leader for the city I owe everything to. 🐝 🌹 *and I toasted it with the man whose steps I follow in.

PHILLIPS PARK BIN INSTALLATION ♻️ 🗑️ 🚮: ahead of its 180th birthday Cllrs @SeanMcHale9, @donnaludford & myself were proud to see the new bins arrive across Phillips Park this week! 🐝

72% GOOD. 🌟 @ManCityCouncil is now the highest rated adult social care directorate by CQC in the core cities, a stunning testament to our staff who do so much day in day out to keep Mancunians at the heart of every decision we take as a service. Today is a good day. 🐝

🏛️ Last week was a busy @ManCityCouncil scrutiny week - with the Age Friendly strategy update being received at Communities & Equalities Scrutiny and a packed agenda at Health Scrutiny. You can view both committee meetings here: democracy.manchester.gov.uk/… 🐝

📻 On the back of @andyburnham’s announcement that he is making social care reform a national priority, today I spoke to @BBCRadioManc about the pioneering work we’ve been leading on with @mcrlco, and how Andy’s reforms could become reality with speed. 🐝

🤝 Yesterday it was a joy to celebrate Elaine Unegbu’s 30 year contribution to our city as the Chair of Manchester’s Age Friendly Board. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 The @LordMayorOfMcr hosted Elaine, her family and so many friends from across the city in a unique civic tribute. (1/2)
