Really fascinated by this show's costuming choices now because it turns out the clothes they used *are* luxury (besides Zara lmfao) but it *still* somehow looks cheap onscreen. It was also poorly tailored to the actors' bodies, so that partially explains why that is too.

I haven't read the manhwa, but I looked up some of its costumes and it's much more distinct and cohesive than the live action series and actually *does* do smth similar to 2015 Cinderella by taking clearer historical inspiration while not being accurate and modernizing it.

I'm no expert in historically accurate fashion and I'm not saying fiction needs to be either, but I absolutely hate this costume design cuz it's just a hodge podge of stuff you can find on Amazon for $100 and isn't unique enough to offset the clashing styles

The artist(s) seems to pull from the 1830s-1860s most (and sometimes the rococo era). The costumes in the manhwa also look more elevated than the live action ones too and I heard the budget for the show was actually pretty high.
