Torrey Roper

🚨Soph. IF/OF Calvin Dean @calvinn_deann @BSC_OHBaseball This kid got to WORK this offseason and it is showing off. Came back 12 pounds lighter and more mobile, increased deadlift max by 70 lbs🔥. Extremely versatile, can play all 3 OF positions with a +arm (90 OF velo, 2nd team All-OCCAC OFer), and 3 IF positions (3B/2B/SS) Fr. season .268/.438/.480 splits, 6 2B, 6 HR, 30 RBI, in 50 G. Juice to all fields, 5/6 bombs last year were backside. Made adjustments to simplify his setup. Starting to backspin more balls pull side and his HR from today was a great example. Oppo juice still there too w/ a 3B off the RF wall from today, and a backside 2K bomb from an IQ the other day. @Coach_Szemacs @coachD_Szalai @jcorcelli31 @PB_JUCO #uncommitted 🚨

Excited to represent @BSC_OHBaseball in Morgantown this weekend‼️

Dawson is a great athlete that can play all around the IF & OF. Showed plus bat speed, great instincts on the base paths, and the ability to stick up the middle in his first action back from surgery last winter. Max bat speed here has been 80.8, steal time has been clocked at a 3.16. @BlauveltDawson @BSC_OHBaseball

Jacob is a + defender w/ an arm that can stick on the left side of the IF. Very comfortable in the box his first collegiate fall, finished w/ a .387 OBP, 5 RBI, 12 R, 10BB/12K, 9 SB. Short stroke at the plate, great baserunner w/ plus speed. Intriguing toolset that hasn’t scratched the surface yet. @jacob_lancy @BSC_OHBaseball

Drew has the ability to play infield and outfield. 6 HR as a Fr, all-star this past summer, added 10 lbs in the offseason. Tough kid, Western PA roots w/ a wrestling background. @DrewKockler @BSC_OHBaseball

Talon is comfortable in all 3 OF spots, as well as 2B. Missed the beginning of the fall to a broken finger. Came back and filled a couple games in an emergency 2B role and slotted nicely. High IQ player w/ a plus arm. Good athlete w/ pull side pop. @WillbondTalon @BSC_OHBaseball #uncommitted

Jackson led the team in Avg, Hits, RBI, & Line Drive% this fall. More 2B than last spring in half the PA’s. Twitchy CF that has improved the bat alongside already premier defense and + speed. A kid that has shown to raise his game when the lights are the brightest. @JacksonStoltz @BSC_OHBaseball #uncommitted

Cal has been a joy to coach the past 2 seasons. 2nd team All-Conference last Spring, this fall 2nd in Avg, OBP & Hits. Line to line power bat that is starting to understand his zone. Athletic mover that can play all 3 OF spots with a 90 mph arm, & 3B/SS/2B. @calvinn_deann @BSC_OHBaseball

Joe was on attack mode all fall. An OBP of .414, w/ 6 R, 5 BB/7 K, 3 RBI, 3 SB, & a .400 avg w/ RISP. Had the privilege of coaching J Frey his summer before college in ‘25. The growth on and off the field has been tremendous. His game has taken a big step on both sides. The kid just wants to compete with his teammates and be challenged. Doesn’t care who’s pitching, he’s going to be on go. Business Major, 3.9 GPA @JoeyFrey33 @BSC_OHBaseball #uncommited

Caden is special. Led team in HHB, OPS, Runs & BB. Pro type mindset. Doesn’t make the same mistake twice, quick flusher. Controls the strike zone like he’s been here before. Unique LD swing w/ potential big time power as he develops into his body. Very solid OF w/ good speed & instincts on the base paths. @CadenKolesar @BSC_OHBaseball #uncommited

Gavin had a great introduction to college. Mature freshman w/ the ‘magnet in the clubhouse’ type of feel. Disciplined hitter that takes what the pitcher gives him and doesn’t deviate much. Power will be coming soon as he develops into his body. Brick wall behind the plate that loves to block and has soft hands. @GavinDavis2026 @BSC_OHBaseball #uncommited
