November Rating Lists are here! 🤩 Not just the FIDE Classical rankings, but the Total Chess Rating as well! 👀 Magnus Carlsen remains at the top of both lists. 😎 While the FIDE Classical Top 10 reflects players’ strength in the classical format, the Total Chess Rating combines performance across Classical, Rapid, and Blitz. What is Total Chess Rating? Total Chess Rating is a proposed Elo-compatible rating system designed to summarize a player’s combined strength across the three major chess formats: Classical, Rapid, and Blitz. It is not intended to replace the existing FIDE ratings for each individual format, but rather to provide an additional perspective on a player’s overall playing strength. The research behind the system was prepared by Dr. Mehmet Mars Seven from King’s College London and published to encourage discussion among players, experts, and chess fans. What do you think of this month’s rankings? 🤔 #TotalChess
