Touchpadwarrior

Sorry in advance for the emotional post. This one is for my community and for those who know me well enough. As I prepare for my WoW Forever adventure, I have finally settled on which class I am going to play, and it's rather a personal choice. If you follow me on my streams or social media, you already know that I have a reputation of being a man of many class choices throughout the years. However, not always. For a very long time, especially during the earlier days of my streaming career, I was mainly known for playing the role of the Paladin. And I miss that. I miss having one character associated with me, which I can invest thousands of hours into and become committed to. Since WoW Forever is a new incarnation of a game I have been playing for more than 20 years, I felt like my choice should also be significant. And about six weeks ago, something finally clicked. If you have been following me for some time, you probably already know that I lost my mother a few years ago. Mum had a hard life. She struggled with her addictions, went to prison and faced a lot of demons. It was not always easy to be close to her, and my childhood was definitely not normal. But she was my mum. There were not a lot of times when Mum used to leave prison and visit me at the internet cafe where I used to spend my days playing WoW. If you have met me in person, you may know that I like to ask people what race or class they think looks cool in World of Warcraft. Obviously, I asked my Mum. She did not really know anything about the game, but knew how much it meant to me. There was only one particular race and class combination she liked a lot. I still remember the light in her eyes when she saw what the class could do. And looking back on it, it all makes perfect sense. Mum was definitely the biggest hippie I have ever known. She loved nature and animals. She was just a very dangerous hippie. 😂 It is such a little memory, but it stuck with me for all these years. So, about six weeks ago, I contacted my Korean artist who created a lot of artwork for me throughout the years. I sent him a few pictures of Mum, which is not that many I actually have, and explained what I wanted to make. I wanted to make something personal, which would help me to take a little piece of my mum with me into this new adventure. And that was when I made my final decision. In World of Warcraft Forever, I will be playing the Tauren Druid. 🐻🌿 The one character which Mum always thought looked cool. Not because it is the best class in the game and not because it is going to be popular, but because it is personal to me. I want to commit to this class, invest thousands of hours in it and become known for playing one class again. And, in a way, I will be taking my Mum on this journey with me. It is a very sappy story, but as I get older, I realize that sometimes the smallest memories become the most meaningful. World of Warcraft gave me a career, friends, a community which I never could imagine when I was just some kid playing at internet cafes. And now I get to embark on a new adventure with all of you. To all my supporters from the years gone by, thank you. Whether you have been in my community for 15 years or 15 minutes, I sincerely appreciate your support. I am very excited for WoW Forever and to see the characters you will be creating, the memories you will be making and the adventures you will go through. This will be my adventure and I cannot wait to see yours unfold along with mine. For the Horde. For my mum. And for the adventures ahead of us. ❤️🐻 @Blizzard_ANZ @Warcraft
