19-Year-Old Woman Missing: Newlands West – KZN Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) is appealing to the public for assistance in locating 19-year-old Noxolo Dladla, who has been missing since Tuesday, 03 November 2026. Dladla left her residence at Graperich Place, Newlands Wes - KZN, at approximately 13:00 to attend classes at the Professional Chef Academy in Durban - KZN. She has not returned home since. Her family contacted friends in the area and fellow students in an attempt to establish her whereabouts. Her friends confirmed that they last saw her at the academy. They reportedly left the institution at approximately the same time, but were unable to locate her when it was time to return home. Dladla has no history of leaving home without informing her family, raising concern over her unexplained disappearance. She is described as being of medium height, average build and medium complexion. She has noticeable dark circles around her eyes and no distinguishing scars or marks. She also suffers from asthma. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact her cousin, Tessa Sibongile, on 064 493 2849 or Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA). Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could assist her family in locating her.

THREE LIFE SENTENCES FOR MAN CONVICTED OF 119 CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES -WELKOM, FREE STATE The NPA has welcomed the sentencing of 37-year-old Christiaan Francisco Fortleza van der Linde, who received three life imprisonment sentences after pleading guilty to 119 charges involving the sexual abuse and exploitation of three minor children. The offences occurred between 2015 and 2024 and included rape, sexual assault, grooming, child trafficking, kidnapping, attempted murder and the creation, possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. The accused exploited positions of trust to groom and repeatedly abuse his victims, aged between 11 and 17. He also created and distributed sexually explicit material involving children. In one particularly disturbing incident, he kidnapped and trafficked a second victim and attempted to murder the child in an attempted murder-suicide. The Welkom Regional Court imposed: Three life sentences for two counts of rape and trafficking in persons. Additional prison terms for attempted murder, sexual exploitation, grooming and other offences. Entry into the National Register for Sex Offenders. He was also declared unfit to possess a firearm, prohibited from working with children and barred from possessing or using electronic devices while serving his sentence. The court rejected the defence’s request to deviate from the prescribed minimum sentences, agreeing with the State that the crimes formed part of a calculated and sustained pattern of abuse. The NPA highlighted the devastating psychological impact on the victims, with two reportedly becoming suicidal as a result of the abuse.
