We love our returning volunteers, and we were lucky to be joined once again by @BackpocketBrew and Fun Not Fancy Restaurant Group . This is their 5th year in a row partnering with us to plant trees in Cedar Rapids!

Thank you to the Prairie Grove Chestnut Growers for hosting a field day! We had a great time exploring the farm and getting to see the equipment behind chestnut processing.

We couldn't have asked for a better day to plant alongside Nestle Purina! 30 trees were added to the canopy, and the volunteers were wonderful. The Scott County Conservation staff were on hand as added support, too! Thank you to @arborday for making this project possible!

Congratulations Molly Stuelke, Trees Forever Director of Programs, on being named a 2026 CBJ Forty Under 40 honoree! She will be recognized tonight for her leadership, positivity, and dedication to improving the corridor. We are incredibly proud of Molly on this deserved honor!

Our friends from @CrystalGroup joined us last week for planting trees in Hiawatha and they even got into the Halloween spirit! Thank you for helping us grow the tree canopy all while having fun!

Last Friday, we were joined by volunteers from @turner_talk, who put in the hard work to get 35 trees planted in the Sheridan Gardens neighborhood. This was the fourth time this group has volunteered with us, & we're so grateful for their continued support! @DesMoinesGov

19th Street in Cedar Rapids got some new trees thanks to the hard work of the BGHN Associates, P.C. volunteers! We always appreciate individuals taking time out of their day to help plant a greener tomorrow!

On Wednesday, we had the wonderful volunteers from Wellabe outside on a beautiful October day. With their help, we were able to plant 31 trees in the Sheridan Gardens neighborhood in Des Moines. A huge thank you to every volunteer who dedicated their time! @DesMoinesGov

Trees Forever staff and Board of Directors are incredibly grateful to the Polk County Iowa Board of Supervisors for their approval of a $250,000 grant in support of the One Million Trees Central Iowa initiative! Thank you, Polk County!

After a few rain delays, we were finally able to get out & plant some trees alongside @BigGroveBrewery volunteers! For multiple years now we have been joining Big Grove for Greening a Grove, & this time we ventured out to Wetherby Park in Iowa City!

City of Cedar Rapids City Council Member David Maier brought together Trees Forever and Monarch Research Project for a special event at Grant Wood Elementary School last Friday! Fifth Grade students got to watch a tree planting & learn the importance of native trees.

This year, @principal was our winner for Outstanding Volunteer Group and they reminded us why! This season, 26 volunteers donated their time and energy to plant 45 trees in the Valley High Manor neighborhood! @DesMoinesGov

Yesterday we were joined by @UFGInsurance and @fluidquiptech to plant trees at Daniels Park! This planting was extra special as it was also in honor of UFG's 80th year anniversary!

Not once, but twice in the last 2 weeks we had QTS volunteers come out to get their hands dirty to plant some trees! Thank you for planting a better tomorrow in Cedar Rapids!
