The Street’s bull case is explicit now. Morgan Stanley’s new model has AWS growing 47% in 2027 and 42% in 2028 at 42% and then 44% operating margins.

solana:KWiZdAh4C9Pf5oCBzWvtjcQEFudryu8tFaXrmsJpump set a record for operating income in the last quarter. This was impressive but the 2027-2028 Bull case built on Morgan Stanleys models is insane.

$MRVL CEO Matt Murphy called the $LITE acquisition an opportunity that comes along “once in a generation.” What stands out is Lumentum’s indium phosphide lasers already power $NVDA optical switches and with capacity sold out through early 2029 Marvell is acquiring manufacturing capabilities that a fabless chipmaker can’t easily replicate.
$MRVL just made a ~$115B bet on the future of AI infrastructure, agreeing to acquire $LITE in an all-stock deal. Marvell CEO Matt Murphy calls this “an opportunity that comes along once in a generation” as traditional copper connections start hitting their limits with rising AI bandwidth demands. By combining Lumentum’s lasers and optical transceivers with Marvell’s networking silicon, the combined company is targeting a $550B addressable market as data centers increasingly shift toward optical connectivity.

This tracks. I watch something on YouTube every day. Netflix is a dormant subscription for me. YouTube has very low costs of content creation. Netflix has $14B of debt that has financed their content library. Another lesson in the halls of mismatching assets and liabilities? Time will tell.

$GOOG next AI chip may be slipping. And the details are getting harder to ignore. A new analyst report alleges Google's next-generation TPU has encountered a design setback, potentially pushing shipments into 2028. The claims are unusually specific: • A three-week design delay • Tape-out pushed to January 2027 • Advanced packaging yields reportedly at just 45–50% But here's what makes this interesting. In June, $JPMorgan pushed back against earlier rumors that the same chip program was behind schedule. Four months later, the allegations have resurfaced—with specific dates, technical problems, and conflicting accounts of which suppliers are involved. Google hasn't confirmed the delay. Neither have its suppliers. We've traced the reporting back to its original sources, examined the contradictions, and identified what would actually confirm or disprove the claims.
