Guilt is arrogant. It means we have taken pride and are sure we are right.

I take inventory of all those I care for in my life until I see them in my mind’s eye at a time they were most themselves when they were no one else but themselves in their light shown brightest. I lock on this image of them in my mind and I pray for that in them in perpetuity.

The idea that life is lake or a river. Ocean, pool, or a chair near the ocean or pool. What you can do is the ceiling of which of those are options, physically, but the mental and physical don't always match, right?

I like: Optimistic ensemble comedy. A group of flawed-but-good people, strong banter, a weird premise as the backdrop, and the underlying message is "people can be decent and things can work out." The humor is the delivery mechanism, not the point.

It’s impossible to make everyone happy so in the end we make ourselves happy and do what we can for others.

A great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot.
