Remember this👇🏼:
You’re upset about not getting a hit?
👇🏼
But coach is impressed you found barrel on a tough pitch
You’re angry you rolled over?
👇🏼
But coach likes your hustle and your speed
You think 1 bad game ruined your future?
👇🏼
But coach loves your attitude, and how hard you play the game!
YOU CAN STILL MAKE A HUGE IMPACT IN A COACH’S EYES, EVEN WHEN YOU THINK THE RESULTS ARE BAD!
👇🏼
Yes, skill and ability is absolutely important in order to get a shot, but there are also so many little things that coaches love and want from kids in their programs!
Talent is necessary, but character is never overlooked!

One of the biggest separators in great hitters is the ability to adjust and still find barrel when you’re not on time.
👉🏼You WILL get fooled
👉🏼You WILL recognize the pitch late sometimes
👉🏼The pitcher WILL make great pitches
👉🏼But if you can stay athletic, and still adjust… You just might be a great hitter one day!

Love the way the @Brewers play the game… and it obviously translates into W’s/Championship
On the cross, Jesus asked forgiveness for the people driving the nails. Not after. During.
He forgives us as well for our shortcomings. Just ask. And repent.
He went through this for you🙏🏽

Hitters:
You can’t continue to improve, unless you continue to be challenged.
Routine —> Important
Consistency —> Key
But if you’re not being challenged both mentally and physically on a regular basis, it’s hard to stay confident and eventually your opportunity for continued improvement will dwindle away.

Coaches:
Teach your players how to HIT… Not just how to swing.
There is SOOOOOOO much more to onfield hitting success than how the swing is supposed to look!
TIMING VISION
PITCH RECOGNITION
PITCH SELECTION
MENTALITY PLAN
APPROACH TOUGHNESS
ADJUSTMENT MAKING
REACTIVE PRINCIPLES
CONTROLLED AGGRESSION
CONTROLLING PRESSURE
BAT SPEED QUICKNESS
SITUATIONAL HITTING
DIFFERENT COUNT APPROACH
PITCHER TENDENCIES
CONFIDENCE BELIEF
STRIKE ZONE AWARENESS
BAT TO BALL SKILL
…just to name a few

Signs of a bad “hitting” coach:
-Makes ALL hitters look the same
-Doesn’t allow individual freedom
-Focus is ONLY on the swing
-Makes you hit like they did
-Spends the majority of the time hitting off a tee
-Never gives the hitter what they really need individually
-Uses big terminology intentionally to try and sound intelligent
-Does whacky and stupid drills
-Uses ridiculous trinkets and tools
-Spends more time trying to post on social media than actually teaching
Don’t get fooled out there!
There are A LOT of bad actors at EVERY level! Unfortunately, getting the wrong “hitting” information can often lead to making you worse!
