Task Lists have you asking:
Did you finish the page?
A formation method asks:
Did that help with who my child is becoming?
That is the question we should be asking more often.
Education is not merely about checking off a list.
It shapes minds, hearts, habits, and character.
We want students to grow in knowledge, of course, but also in wisdom, faith, discipline, leadership, and purpose.
Because children need more than just assignments.
They need formation.

I’m now convinced our kids are being intentionally setup to fail by our education system

This is the most insane thing you’ll ever see. You just need to see this for yourself…. Apparently this is called TouchMath and instead of doing math, you just count dots on letters
No Math is being done here

How can you navigate all the bias in history?
So many false representations of historical events exist. The history that fits liberals' worldview gets promoted over the actual accounts.
Historical commentary and the opinions of the people translating history are referenced more than the original documents.
When teaching your children history, it's important to include different views and source documents. Here are 6 tips for teaching your children history without bias: youtube.com/watch?v=MK9LBFNL…

Pride and Prejudice remains one of the finest English novels. Do you agree? Have you read the book, or only watched a film adaptation?
We love listening to it in Blue Manor Academy's classical literature library!

It’s a failed experiment. Please stop sending your kids and that will send a message to the system! My husband called for an #educationexodus 14 years ago in his book Revealing School. When will you listen? For some, it’s too late.

Our children LOVE this silly little bear's adventures!
First published in 1926, A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh is a little masterpiece of childhood imagination, gentle humor, friendship, and literary wit.
Have you read it to your children? It makes me LOL! I love the audio version on Blue Manor Academy.

An education theorist argued grouping kids by ability creates unfair “racially segregated classrooms.”
Her book helped fuel a movement to put beginners and advanced kids in the same classroom.
Here’s how that push has held smart kids back:
Gifted Kids Are Being Held Back in the Name of Equity
Many schools are ending gifted and talented classes in the name of “equity.” But holding smart kids back hurts everyone.
