True Indies

Apparently @FestofCinemaNYC was inadvertently left off the spreadsheet yesterday. They've been added, and the discount code is good until the end of day tomorrow.

This year we have a short list of film festival discounts, but we'll have another discount day in the spring. trueindies.com/

Good morning everyone! I'm running a bit late, but I'll have the spreadsheet up in the next 30 minutes or so. A lot of festivals aren't open right now, including mine, so it's only seven festivals, but I think we'll do this again in the spring.

Filmmakers! Follow @TrueIndiesFilm for discounts on film festival submissions.

The regular deadline for my festival is coming up. Use code LCFFTrueIndies for 20% off.

It's a mess out there, with festivals being cancelled or postponed left and right. I'll try to retweet various offers beyond the SXSW list.

Four more festivals added to trueindies.com including @MiamiJFF and @PTFilmFest. We are now at 55 festivals.

I just added Film Festival #51 to the list at trueindies.com, @nashfilmfest, who are looking for submissions for their 51st festival.

Three more festivals added to the list of trueindies.com offering #sxsw2020 waivers. More coming tomorrow.

We just added four more festivals to the the trueindies.com @CanceledSXSW waiver spreadsheet, including @MVFilmFest & @NHFF #sxsw2020

.@sxsw Filmmakers! I've compiled a list of 45 Film Festivals that are interested in offering waivers to films that lost their #SXSW2020 screenings! trueindies.com

There are now two dozen film festivals participating in the #sxsw2020 waiver. Looking for more festivals to sign up here: bit.ly/SXSWWaiver

We know the @sxsw cancellation is devastating to many filmmakers, so we are getting some festivals together to offer 100% waiver discounts for films that were originally accepted to @sxsw 2020. Festivals, sign up here: bit.ly/SXSWWaiver

Contemplating Memorial Day, May 25th, 2020 as the next True Indies Day. Film Festivals, contact me. [email protected]

They aren't all on the site yet, but #TrueIndie Day just hit 40 participating festivals.

Tomorrow is #TrueIndies Day! Yesterday @sundancefest announced their programming for next year, and at least 10,000 films didn't make it. It's not all bad, as almost 40 film festivals are offering you 20% discounts tomorrow on @FilmFreeway. trueindies.com

This is very well-spoken, but one small correction, we're up to 38 film festivals offering discounts. At midnight we'll be adding in one more festival, which will be the longest-running festival on the list.
