Good morning to everyone except the people who told us Bitcoin was going to $40K when it was $60K Bitcoin went to $87K, pulled back to $77K, and somehow they’re taking a victory lap. 😂 Guys, it’s still $37K ABOVE your target.

Can we all agree on one thing? Thank God the midterms are finally over tonight. 😂 Markets have been in a bit of a holding pattern, and understandably so. Big elections bring uncertainty, and sometimes the market just wants to know where everyone stands before making its next move. Hopefully, once the dust settles, we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming. You know, actually trading markets instead of election predictions.

If you’re celebrating election night like your team just won the Super Bowl, the politicians already won. They’ve got us cheering for red versus blue while the governing class keeps doing what it does best. Promising everything. Spending more. Piling up debt. And blaming the other team. The faces change, but somehow the spending never seems to stop. Maybe we should spend less time fighting each other and more time holding the people we elect accountable. And when the celebrating is over, remember why Bitcoin exists. No politician can vote another 21 million BTC into existence. Bitcoin isn’t guaranteed protection from bad policy. But its fixed supply is one reason people own it as insurance against monetary debasement.

On 29 October, Binance was the target of one of the most sophisticated attacks the digital asset industry has ever seen. ~$6.34B in assets were impacted. We take full responsibility and we're making it right. No user bears the loss. We set aside more than the full amount required. At this moment, 98% of impacted tokens had been replenished; we're completing the remaining 2%. Withdrawals have broadly resumed. This wasn't one mistake or one breach - it was a months-long campaign. We're publishing the full report because the lessons go far beyond Binance. ~$2.85B has already been frozen or intercepted with law enforcement, issuers and blockchain intelligence firms. The speed of coordination could not be matched in traditional finance.

You can change an incredible number of unhealthy habits simply by getting clear on a meaningful long-term goal that requires you to become the healthiest, most clear-minded, highest-energy version of yourself. It’s amazing how much easier it becomes to walk away from things that are holding you back when you finally have something you’re genuinely excited to move toward.

Marriage tip… don’t let the person you fell in love with become the person you only talk to about kids, bills, errands, and schedules. Try the 2-2-2 rule… at least every two weeks, go on a date. Every two months, get away for a weekend. Every two years, take a full week together. The timing doesn’t have to be exact. The point is to keep making room to enjoy each other, because a lot of marriages don’t lose love all at once. They just go too long without spending any real time together.

Bitcoin had four great bubbles before the world needed Bitcoin this badly. Now global debt is exploding, currencies are being weaponized, and governments need more money every year. Good luck betting against the fifth. Bitcoin was built for this. (Original chart from August at $64K, before the run to $87K, Amazing what one good advance does for perspective.)

The Binance hack did Bitcoin traders one favor… it drew a line in the sand. Falling, finding another support, and bouncing isn’t enough to call this bullish. The level I care about is where Bitcoin traded before the shock. Recover that area and start building above it, and bears have a problem. All late shorts are then underwater. All dip buyers are then in profit. And a major bearish catalyst has failed to keep price lower. That’s how a breakdown can turn into a bear trap. Bulls haven’t earned that yet, but now we know exactly what they need to take back.

Bitcoin needs to be the fastest horse. That’s when the calculation changes. It’s always been that way. People see semis and memory stocks slowing down and assume that’s bad for Bitcoin. But those stocks can chop around near their highs after enormous runs while Bitcoin starts leading. The S&P can go sideways while Bitcoin has a very different few months. That’s nothing like an AI collapse dragging the entire market down. Money needs a reason to take Bitcoin’s extra risk. When stocks offer better returns with less volatility, why bother? But if Bitcoin starts consistently outperforming those leaders, some investors start asking a different question: “I’ve made my money over there. Where’s the next opportunity?” It doesn’t take everyone rotating into a smaller market to make a difference. Strength attracts attention. Attention attracts capital. Then the bullish stories arrive to explain the move already underway.

The more you walk, the better you feel. The more you lift, the more muscle you build. The more you get outside, the happier you are. The more hard things you do, the easier your life becomes. Walk. Lift. Get outside. Do hard things. This is the way.

You don’t get to choose whether life is hard. You get to choose which hard you live with. Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Getting fit is hard. Being unhealthy is hard. Discipline is hard. Debt is hard. Having the difficult conversation is hard. Living with everything you never said is hard. Avoiding the hard thing today usually doesn’t make life easier. It just hands you a different hard later. Choose the hard that builds your future, not the hard that slowly takes it away.

Quick BTC Update Well, we finally lost that support level that had been holding up like a champ. It survived quite a few tests, and then along comes Binance with what is apparently becoming its annual October surprise. 😂 The difficult part right now is that we really don’t know how much damage has been done or whether everything is even contained yet. There have been reports of continued issues and frozen funds, and it’s hard to know exactly what’s happening. Even people who want to buy may understandably sit on their hands until the dust settles a little. But the chart is still the chart. We lost the level, and as we’ve discussed, that opens the door to the $73K–$75K area unless the bulls can reclaim what they just lost. Ideally, we’d like to see that reclaim happen relatively quickly, perhaps tomorrow. On the bullish side, I think the situation could become pretty simple. If Bitcoin can recover the price area where this whole Binance mess started and hold it, we could be right back in a position to challenge $87K, potentially higher. But that’s something buyers still need to prove. On a personal note, I took a pretty decent loss today, probably my first sizable one in quite a while. The way everything unfolded caught me, and at some point I decided to cut it. It happens. You take the loss, protect your capital, and move on. I have since opened another position in the $77Ks, but let me explain that a little. This is just a small first ladder, not some big conviction trade. I’m comfortable giving this one room through a potential $73K–$75K test, even somewhat below that area if necessary, because I’ve sized it accordingly. The idea is simply to have a little exposure in case we get some kind of sharp overnight reversal while I’m sleeping. If that happens, great, I’m participating. If we move lower instead, it’s a small enough position that I can manage it without getting myself into trouble. For most people, I’d honestly just wait this out. Let things settle. Let the market show us where buyers are actually willing to step in. There is absolutely nothing wrong with waiting for a cleaner reaction, especially with so much uncertainty surrounding this event. It’s still very fresh, and I want to see how everything develops. I’ll get another market update out tomorrow once we’ve had a little more time to evaluate things. Stay safe out there, guys. Protect your capital. There will always be another trade.
