The vagina is an elastic, muscular organ designed to stretch during childbirth. After delivery, it undergoes a process of recovery, and for many women, its tone and function improve significantly over time. However, recovery varies, and some women experience lasting changes to their pelvic floor.
But saying the vagina NEVER returns to its original size is misleading.
More importantly, caesarean section is not a guarantee of better sex. Sexual satisfaction depends on several factors, including pelvic floor function, hormones, lubrication, emotional well-being, relationship dynamics and recovery after childbirth.
Vaginal birth can affect the pelvic floor, particularly following severe perineal tears or instrumental delivery. However, a caesarean section has its own risks and does not eliminate every possibility of pelvic floor problems.
Women deserve facts, not fear.
Choose your mode of birth through informed discussion with your obstetrician, considering your individual circumstances and preferences, not the fear that childbirth will ruin your vagina or sex life.

Family planning is one thing I would never wish for my enemy
So I said to myself that even before I had my last baby 18-09-2024 me and my husband thought that three kids was enough for us
I said to myself that I need family planning
because my womb likes carrying babies
Before you know I am pregnant, before I would close my eyes and open it am pregnant again
That was how the thoughts of inserting family planning came in.
I decided to go for 5 years planning
That was the biggest mistake of my life
Immediately it was inserted inside of me, the whole of my body hormones change from positive to negative
First of foremost I started reducing weight
me that was weighing 75 on scale reduce to 53 on scale
I became so small that you would think I was hungry at home, or sick
People who knew me hardly recognise me
My period that was 4-5 days became 14 -20 day's every month
I lost my self in the process
I couldn't work for 1 hour before you know it will be feeling so deezy
My body discharge change
Lost Appetites
Eating was a big problem for me
It was so bad that every month I will be in the hospital for 3-5 times
Told doctors how I was feeling they said with time it will stop
I ask Biko till when, before I kpaii or when
Because I was no longer my self
My husband said if it is not working on your body please take it out, immediately I replied that yes, this thing needs to go out from my body before I would lose my sanity
Went to the hospital for removal, yet this doctors still left a piece inside my body.
