My new plugin developer job has me working in the wp-admin dashboard a lot more of late. So I've really been working hard on Turbo Admin in my spare time to make life easier. And it's SO much easier using the keyboard to drive WordPress...

@TurboAdmn is a brilliant command UI for WordPress. No need to install plugins on each site, just instant navigation anywhere. Clean, fast, and really well thought out.
Turbo Admin extension update!
v1.18.0 is out now, you should get an auto update in 12 hours, or you can manually update if you know how.
This fixes up a weird issue I had with the command palette, but ALSO it changes the search method I'm using for commands...
Update today. v1.16.0 fixes a bug found by @mishterkurth (🙏) and introduces a new menu-hiding feature.
This is great if you have a busy admin menu. You can alt/option-click items to move them to a new expandable section, then access those items using the command palette! Yay!
See how much Turbo Admin lets you do with no mouse!! (I used my trackpad once in this recording - see if you can spot it!)
I don't really know how to talk about the benefits of this if you're in the Dashboard a lot. So just watch the video.
Looks like there might have been a Firefox change that stopped Turbo Admin working. Looking into that now!
Yay! I finally got a Turbo Admin browser extension update out.
This is for all the #WordPress folks who start up lots of new sites and get annoyed by:
- The Welcome Panel
- The Help guides on the editor screens
- The Choose-a-Pattern modal on the New Page screen
1/2
The “Auto-remove block-editor welcome screen” option now removes all of these things automatically! On ALL your WordPress dashboards!!
Update to v1.14 in your browser, or try it out at turbo-admin.com/

I broke the plugin for Firefox users! Eeek!
I just released a tiny update to fix this. v1.13.3
Sorry about that, and thanks to those that reported it.
If you've read the Gutenberg Phase 3 announcement:
1. You may have questions about what this means for Turbo Admin (answer: nothing just yet)
2. How awesome that these things will be in core! 🙌

3. If you like the idea of a "global search & command component" you can get that NOW in ALL your WordPress dashboards with Turbo Admin!! And it's still great value.

Turbo Admin for Chrome/Edge/Arc/Chomium/etc is now updated to v1.13.1 as well.
Again, there's been a big change to how the extension works, so let me know if anything's not right. Hopefully it's improvements all around.
Version 1.13.2 of the plugin version of Turbo Admin (my command-palette for #WordPress) is out, inheriting the enhancements from the latest version of the extension.

This also improves compatibility with the WordPress 6.2 theme editor screen (though note that if you have admin bar search turned on Turbo Admin doesn't work on this screen because there is no admin bar!)
Props to @courtneyr_dev for bug reports.
Turbo Admin v1.13.1 is on its way to Firefox users (I skipped 1.13.0 due to an administrative error!)
This includes the big update to "Manifest v3" which is a change in how browser extensions work.
PLEASE let me know if you come across any issues with this.
I've also updated the changelog with all the recent updates. Perhaps theres stuff in there you didn't know about? WooCommerce search, user search, plugin search?
More to come soon too!!
