You can legally make your own now though I guess. And prices will probably go down with time. A good supressor in Norway, where they have been license free forever, a rimfire can costs as much as 8 Bic Macs. A 308 can costs like 25 ($300). On sale, I have bought cans for $40.

It absolutely isn't the best solution and if you think that it's because you haven't used any others. Furthermore the company behind the product is shit. Their triggers nearly doubled in price right after they won their case. The super safety design is superior in function.
