Kyle Larson won at Talladega in October in his 49th Cup start at Daytona and Talladega. It was his first win at either track. Only 3 drivers ever needed more starts: Kurt Busch needed 64, Michael Waltrip 60 and Harry Gant 50.

Denny Hamlin is the only active full-time driver in Martinsville’s all-time top 10.
A win Sunday puts him 1 point behind Jimmie Johnson.

Chase Briscoe's crew has the fastest 4-tire stops in Cup this season, 9.56 seconds.
Gibbs crews hold 4 of the top 5 spots. Larson's crew is 3rd. At Martinsville, where passing is hard, the last stop on Sunday could decide it.
Diecast Giveaway: 1997 Dale Earnhardt Daytona 500 crash car diecast model car.
He flipped on the backstretch with 12 laps to go, climbed out of the ambulance, and drove the wrecked car back to pit road. One year later he won his first Daytona 500.

Tyler Reddick has 6 wins this season. Nobody else has more than 4.
He's never had a top 5 at Martinsville: 13 starts, best finish 7th, average finish 19.1. If the 45 is running top 5 late on Sunday, it's never happened before.

Chase Elliott was the fastest car on track for 380 laps in the last 9 Cup races at Martinsville, more than anyone. Denny Hamlin was right behind him at 377. William Byron was fastest on only 269, and he won 3 of those 9 races. Elliott and Hamlin won 1 each.

NASCAR fans are the most creative at complaining and it’s not even close.
“If only the full time drivers missed more races!” 🤦🏼♂️
Replying to @TurnFourT4
This why the cup series gets stale. In the past drivers would miss races and someone else would get a shot and parlay that into a promotion. The only driver to do that recently is Hocevar.
Joey Logano has started 646 Cup points races in a row, every one since the 2009 Daytona 500. That's 18 seasons without missing one. Only 10 drivers ever had a longer run. Dale Earnhardt is next at 648, and Jeff Gordon holds the record at 797.
All the numbers behind this chart: turnfourracing.com/cards/x-2…
Kyle Larson started the Chase 55 points behind Denny Hamlin, the 7th seed of 16. He took the lead by 1 point at Bristol. A 34th at Phoenix cut his lead to 5 over Christopher Bell. After Talladega he leads by 73 with 2 races left.
The full table, every driver a link: turnfourracing.com/cards/x-2…
Larson leads the Chase by 73 going to Martinsville on Sunday, and Hamlin, Bell and Briscoe are 6 points apart behind him.
The pack has 15 numbers for it, like Hamlin's 7 Martinsville stage wins and 1 race win since 2022.

Did RFK just kill fuel saving?
Keselowski, Preece and Buescher went full throttle at Talladega and everybody else looked silly. 12 seconds clear of the field on green flag speed over the full race.
How to read the video: it replays the race on green flag speed only. Cars gain or lose position to Buescher, the fastest car of the race. Larson won the real thing, 17.5 seconds back on pace. #nascar
