🔴 “The Church in Toledo stands with all those grieving and affected by this tragedy, with its doors open to everyone”
The Archbishop of Toledo offers his condolences to the victims of the train crash, which has killed at least 39 people
We remember Dolores Huerta and her extraordinary commitment to human dignity, justice, and the rights of farmworkers.
On September 1, we were honored to welcome her to Borgo Laudato Si’ for the Mass for the Care of Creation, where she met Pope Leo XIV, the first American Pope.
Her life reminds us that caring for our common home means standing alongside one another, defending the vulnerable, and recognizing the dignity of every person.
May her legacy continue to inspire us to build a more just, compassionate, and hopeful world reminding us that the cry of the earth is the cry of the poor.
¡Sí, se puede! Together, we can make a difference.

Long live @Pontifex !
Pope Leo XIV’s doctors have confirmed that the tumor removed on October 13 was a lung adenocarcinoma and that the disease was localized.
Dr. Luigi Carbone and Professor Stefano Margaritora said on Wednesday evening that a subsequent oncological assessment has confirmed that “no further treatment is necessary.”

I would like to thank all those who have prayed for me in recent days. I wish to express my particular gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all the staff of the Gemelli Hospital. This experience has made me feel particularly close to all those who are living with illness or infirmity. Now that I have overcome this delicate phase I will gradually resume my activities, always with God’s help and your prayers.

Pope Leo XIV will be discharged today from Rome’s Gemelli Hospital following surgery on his right lung and will return to the Vatican this afternoon.
Tomorrow, he will lead the Angelus from the window of the Apostolic Palace as he does every Sunday.
We give thanks to God for his recovery and continue to surround the Holy Father with our prayers, asking the Lord to renew his strength and sustain him in his mission of faith, hope, and peace.

This morning, at the Gemelli Hospital, the Holy Father celebrated the Eucharist, a beautiful and moving sign of faith and hope just days after his surgery.
In this time of recovery, may the Lord sustain him with His strength, surround him with His peace, and grant him renewed health. Let us also remember in our prayers the doctors, nurses, and all the medical staff accompanying him on this journey of healing.
