Holly heck: $80 for a bacterial genome.
If four scientists had a 15 min meeting to decide on IF they should send samples, $80 of wages would be used up.
Get onto it. – at Melbourne, Victoria

If I could, I'd have every college Bio1A student watch this superbly cogent explanation by Dr Cynthia Wolberger @CWolberger of what Rosalind Franklin's X-ray crystallographic dataset told us about DNA structure. Two minutes of magnificence. #WomenInSTEM

The US response to coronavirus is hilarious. I've had a dry cough and fever since Saturday. My HC provider tells me I am uneligible for testing because none of my friends have tested positive. How the f*ck are we supposed to know if none of us can access testing?

USDA just released its staff relocation numbers and they’re not good. At ERS, 72 will relocate to KC and 99 declined. For NIFA, 73 will move and 151 refused. Staff who did not inform USDA of their plans were included among those who said no.
