The #SaveMassEffect petition is nearing 130k signatures.
Regardless of what you might think of the efficacy of petitions, there's no reason for EA to get away with this without some more bad publicity.

#SaveMassEffect - A Message from the founder.
First, I want to say thank you.
When I started this petition and created #SaveMassEffect, I had no idea how quickly the community would come together. What began as one fan refusing to quietly accept the loss of something that meant so much to so many has grown into a movement supported by tens of thousands of people around the world.
And we’re only getting started.
Mass Effect has never been just another video game franchise. For many of us, it represents years of unforgettable stories, characters, friendships, and choices. It’s a universe that inspired us, brought us together, and reminded us that even against impossible odds, our actions matter.
That’s why this campaign exists.
Our goal is simple: Give Mass Effect a future.
We’re asking Electronic Arts to seriously consider two paths forward:
1. Commit to continuing Mass Effect’s development, with the resources, talent, and time necessary to deliver the experience this franchise deserves.
2. Explore licensing Mass Effect to a qualified development studio capable of carrying the franchise forward if EA no longer intends to develop it.
We’re not demanding rushed development, unrealistic promises, or an immediate announcement of a new game. We’re asking EA to recognize that this franchise still matters and that its community deserves to be heard.
I also want to make something very clear: This campaign is not against the developers, artists, writers, or employees of EA and BioWare. These are the people who helped create the universe we love. They deserve our respect and support.
Our campaign will remain respectful, organized, and focused on constructive solutions.
Where We Go From Here
As the founder of #SaveMassEffect, I’m working to turn the incredible support we’ve received into an organized effort.
Over the coming days, I’ll be focusing on expanding our outreach, connecting with gaming journalists and community creators, bringing volunteers into the campaign, and establishing a professional line of communication with EA.
With N7 Day approaching on November 7, we have an opportunity to show just how much this universe still means to people around the world.
Our next milestone is 100,000 signatures. But signatures alone aren’t the ultimate goal. Our goal is meaningful dialogue and a genuine opportunity to secure Mass Effect’s future.
How You Can Help
- Keep sharing the petition and using #SaveMassEffect.
- Encourage fellow fans to participate respectfully.
- Share what Mass Effect means to you and why you want to see its story continue.
- Help spread the campaign beyond our existing communities.
I’m currently organizing this effort independently, and I know I can’t do everything alone. As we grow, I’ll be looking for dedicated community members who want to help build something lasting.
Finally, I want everyone supporting this campaign to remember something:
We cannot guarantee that EA will change its plans. But we can make sure the community’s voice is impossible to overlook.
Every signature represents someone who believes this universe is worth preserving.
You have already shown me that I am far from alone in that belief.
Thank you for standing with me. Thank you for standing with the developers who gave us this incredible universe. And thank you for refusing to let Mass Effect’s future go unquestioned.
Our choices matter. Our voices matter.

People do not understand how important the @masseffect franchise is to people, on top of the other life-changing stories @bioware has given us. Shutting the doors for good is a stab in the heart. fuck this and fuck @EA for this #MassEffect #Bioware
Well let's be honest, it doesn't matter who actually wins this game. The officials handed it to Georgia. At least 3 horrendous decisions in their favor. #GeorgiaAlabama
if reading this doesn't make your blood boil as a human being, I got nothing for you
ABC News has more of Jane Doe's statement to a Cornell panel:
* "I was prostituted, and I was held up like bait for a gaggle of men, and I didn't even know it was happening," saying she had been raped by 8 to 10 fraternity brothers.
* "I remember being coerced into using ketamine. I remember several respondents running a train on me, many different times. And I remember a dark room with shadows of men in and out constantly, and I remember feeling like there was a joke and I was not in on it."
* "I will never know everything that happened to me, and I know I've said that a lot....I'm open-minded, and thoughtful, and empathetic. But for two or three weeks following the event, those qualities protected the [men]. I didn't want to believe something terrible could happen to me."
Testimony from her friend:
* "I believe personally that she was such in shock that she was just trying to make everything okay and maybe kind of a people pleaser at that point.... But I knew she was uncomfortable as soon as I saw her on that Monday and that she wasn't okay with what happened and maybe embarrassed."
Jane Doe in closing:
* "I ask the panel to please make it safer for those that I love and the community at large, and to remove those boys from the campus. I will not be there to see the change, but removing these respondents will make Cornell a better and safer place."
Jane Doe left Cornell. Currently 2 of the Cornell 7 are still on campus.
I love when people say shit and when they line it up it turns out it was not smart
What a terrible performance to open the season. Defense is still shameful. Lucky to get a point there #NEWLIV
Balogun wouldn’t be eligible to live in this country if this administration had their way btw #hypocrisy
Same people who thought UFC 250 - or whatever tf it was called - was badass are the same people who said Obama desecrated the office by wearing a tan suit...
putting Pavia on the same list as Warren Moon might be one of the grossest things I've seen. Moon wasn't drafted because the league thought his skin color made him dumb. Pavia goes undrafted and says "fuck the league". Clown who just isn't good
there was never a world where the #Rams were going to take a guy McVay didn't approve.
From story:
-Rams quietly plotted as to not out McVay approval stamp that could increase interest
-McVay 'absolutely' backed pick. Sources make sense of press conference demeanor
-Makai Lemon 'definitely' considered
-Stafford happy with current weapons
-Garoppolo retirement a factor, team tried to sign Joe Flacco
-Simpson was confident he was going 1, wanted Rams over AZ
-LAR got trade calls on 13
