Ok #MTBoS, looking for book suggestions for my brother: What are our favorite books addressing the overarching ideas of math? (He’s read Infinite Powers and How to Bake Pi). Looking for things like how different areas are connected. He really likes to think deeply about things

Also open to suggestions about specific fields of math, maybe things less seen in school. Not sure if there is something for Codes and Cryptography that is accessible. I don’t think he wants to read my college text on that 🤣🤣🤣

I’m having to embrace the alarm life for this season: to pack up to go to preschool, time to leave to pickup from home, time to leave to pickup from school (two different times depending on my teaching schedule), time to walk from my office to class. Yikes. Is there an app?

I know GC can send you a notification a certain amount of time before things but I need an actual alarm going off. Currently I’m turning on and off alarms in my native clock/alarm app on iPhone.

Does anyone know why this Desmos graph would show a gap on this log function? @Desmos #MTBoS

Getting so pumped up for #APStats this year. Multiple students saying they are excited and I’m teaching the largest proportion of the school yet.

Not sure how companies that cater primarily to millennials don’t realize we will do anything to avoid talking on the phone 😬 please just respond to my email 😭

Say a prayer for me as I attempt to cover the entire #apstats curriculum in 100 minutes today 🤣 My students said they believe in me. 👍

Planning around 6 hours of last minute review for the next 3 days is melting my brain. The final countdown... #apstats

For those of you who worked at multiple schools, or review resumes from those who do: Do you organize by school and what you accomplished at each school or put all teaching experience together and list of things you did together for all schools (Applying for AP Reading)

How about let’s not look at the number of days to the AP exam 😳. I guess when you are out on maternity leave for 3 months it makes the year go faster 🤣

Looking at my first year with the engineering notebooks before I overhauled all the formatting and I’m just like 🤮🤮🤮. Those fonts man…

So proud of my students on their random variables and sampling distributions test! Fourth times the charm for teaching sampling distributions I guess! #apstats
